The cathedral in Wawel Castle is beautiful. Had tickets to see the cathedral, the tombs, and the bell tower. Cost of 20 zloty per person (roughly $5 USD). Well worth the time to go through. This cathedral is not like other cathedrals in Europe as it relatively small, but still something you should see in Krakow!

What a beautiful Castle and grounds. We only walked around outside the day we were there, as it was a beautiful sunny day and tremendously crowded. We even saw a bridal couple taking photographs on the grounds. After we spent some time outside we ventured into the Cathedral and it was quite a sight to behold. The main altar was spectacular with blue ceilings and stunning stained glass windows. Would love to attend services there if given the chance. If you want to visit the Castle inside as well-give yourself plenty of time.

Not quite the mind blowing cathedral but still interesting stories abound...like how much gold was used for the golden dome outside as a dedication of a daughter to her (king) father. Prettiest view was from this particular angle on the side of the golden dome, across the plaza close by the Wawel chocolate store...

Never went inside. But it was sure a great cathedral only for the royal family back then. Lovely area, nice hill.
