Perfect Hotel

Review of Hotel Kossak
5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 17 Nov 2024via mobile
Fantastic stay at this wonderful hotel.
Firstly it’s location is brilliant, the airport bus (Autobus 300) stops 2 minutes from the hotel making the transfer from the airport very easy, the journey takes about 25 minutes and costs about £1.20 per person each way. Buses run every 20 minutes.
From the hotel, the Castle is a 10 minute walk, the Old Town Square a 15-20 minute walk and Kazimierz about 25 minutes .
We stayed in a superior room (209) which provided fabulous views of castle and river. You also get great views from the roof top restaurant. Our room was super clean, spacious and had plenty of wardrobe space. The bed and pillows very comfortable. The bathroom was also very clean with complimentary shampoo/body wash, hand wash and body lotion/hand cream.
The breakfast was excellent, good choice of fresh fruit, yogurts, juices, pastries and bacon, eggs, etc.
Everyone at the hotel gave us a warm and friendly welcome. We would certainly recommend and stay there again.
Thank you to everyone at the Hotel Kossak

Visited in November for 3 nights with my wife. Checked in before the 2pm time as we arrived earlier but the room was ready so they were happy to let us check in. The hotel is next to the river and overlooked by the castle with the town square around a 15 min walk so ideal location. The room we had was a river view and was just about big enough but not massive, the room was warm and clean and had a kettle, hair dryer, iron etc. Breakfast had hot and cold options and was nice but the restaurant area is quite small so could get busy in the summer. The only issue we had is building work was being undertaken nearby and was started at 630 each morning, this isn't the hotels fault so can't blame them for this. Would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone who wants to visit this beautiful city.

My friend and I spent 3 nights at the Kossak and we will definitely be back.

I emailed a couple of weeks before regarding our suite and got quick and very helpful replies. I also emailed about visiting Auschwitz-Birkenau as I had read stories of booking yourself and trips being cancelled, again a quick response and they booked the trip for us.

On arrival we received a warm welcome from Paulina on reception. Our suite was gorgeous with a balcony and stunning views. On attempting to unpack I discovered that I had stupidly left my luggage keys at home, I asked Paulina at reception if she could help, she contacted her colleague Witek to see if he could help, my knight in shining armour managed to remove my padlock without damaging my suitcase!. We ate at the rooftop restaurant, food was delicious, and views of the castle and river at night were stunning.

Breakfast each morning was lovely with lots of choice. All hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Paulina at reception booked our taxi to the airport and informed us of the cost up front.

I would like to say thank you to all the staff for making our stay so enjoyable, and a very special thank you to Paulina and Witek for helping me so much.

Just got home from a 10 night stay. Lovely hotel near the castle and river. Easy walking into the old town. Very clean hotel, staff very helpful and they booked us trips to Auschwitz and the salt mines. Breakfast is very good, restaurant a little more limited but excellent, with rooftop views. We would definitely stay here again if we were in Krakow. Value for money in the city was really good. Lots of shops, museums and reatsurants.

Room tip: Amazing beds! Great breakfast.

I stayed here in August this review is a bit late. But this hotel and the staff are fantastic they go above and beyond to help you. Nothing is too much trouble. The hotel is lovely and clean. The food at the roof top restaurant is amazing with great views. There's also bike you can hire out at no cost and explore the town. We will definitely be coming back and staying at this hotel.
