Really good introduction to the city - best therefore to do this early in your visit so that you can go back to the different areas later.
Our guide Sylwia Pisarska was amusing friendly and informative.

Krakow isn't ideally laid out for cycling--patchy road surfaces, meandering tourists, occasional directives to hop on the sidewalk--but if you're at all willing to mount a bike frame I can't imagine a better introduction to the city. The pace is slow and the bicycles stable, if a bit old. My trip ran shorter than advertised but I felt three hours was enough.

I'd urge first-timers considering this option to read a little about Stare Miasto and get a sense of what interests them. On the tour you'll pass virtually each site you've heard of and hear about it from the guide. Then you can either plan to come back or scratch it off your list. Because cycling forces you to pay attention, you learn more than you would if you were being driven or led about on foot.

We were greeted by helpful, friendly staff who helped fit the right bike to the person. Sylvia was a great guide who had obvious love and enthusiasm for her city and provided interesting information in good english. The cycling was mostly on the flat and rarely amongst cars. We visited all the places I'd read about before our visit and stopped midway round in a very pleasant courtyard cafe for an enjoyable rest. The trip was 4 hours well spent.

We covered 10 miles by bike. The bikes were well maintained and modern with a variety of styles for hire. Our guide spoke excellent English and led us to 25 stopping points that took in all of the main attractions. He took care to explain about Krakow life past and present and this was a great way to see areas that we couldn't have done on foot or by electric car etc. We had a 20 minutes coffee stop at a fantastic restaurant that we would have never found by ourselves. It was relatively easy riding as the route is mainly flat and we returned from the Schindler Factory along the banks of the river. At 80Zl per person (about £18) for a 4 hours tour this was money well spend and was great value. We think the activity is manageable for all ages (we are in our 60's) and was enjoyed by the twentysomethings as well as the older folk. The Cool Tour Company, Krakow is on a winner with this.

Really good tour and a well spent 3 and a half hours, thanks Phil for all the information, there is no way we would have learnt so much on our own and doing the trip at the start of our break meant we knew where to go the following days (Got some good restaurant tips aswell!) Easy biking ( Its not the tour de france) and mostly in parks and bike routes.
