It's a really good museum with many interesting facts and exhibition. The only thing we didn't like was location but it's anyway worth the visit.
It'll take you on a journey over several centuries: from Medieval times to 18th century. The wooden sculptures and altars are very fine, the classical painting section is also interesting and two rooms with furniture are representative of late Renaissance and Rococo style. Memling's Last Judgement is definitely a high point. A very good guidebook about it is on sale in English and German.
The main reason for visiting museum is the painting of the last judgement by the Flemisch painter Memling. But there is also a nice collection of Dutch art.
This world famous altar piece is to be viewed in the National Gallery of Gdansk, which is a bit out of town in a quiet street. It is in the class of all those art works you consider worthy of a pilgrimage to go and see. memlong's altar piece is miraculously back in Gdansk after even Stalin coveted it.
Great museum, a bit out of town but worth the walk, great way to spend a few hours with plenty to see, Its a must see.
Definitely worth the walk slightly off the beaten track for this one. An impressive building with some interesting things to see and learn about.
