We stayed for 2 nights at Alessandro's apartment in September. The apt was easy to reach via two train lines from the main Prague train station. Alex was there to meet us, was very welcoming, showed us around and gave us some good tips for attractions and places to eat. We found the location of the apartment to be fantastic, between the Prague Palace (walking distance or you could catch a tram if you wanted) and over the bridge (one down from the Charles bridge)) to the old city. While the old city was amazing, it was also jam-packed with tourists and it was a relief in the evening to be able to walk home to the peace and quiet ( and safe as well) of Mala Strana. The Prime Minister's residence is in the same street and it is quiet. The only downside of the apt for us was quite a hard bed and maybe that is personal taste. A good stay in Prague!
Just a short walk from a metro and tram station, and just a few hundred yards to the old town this lovely flat was a pleasure to stay in. Alessandro was very helpful for our first steps in this city steeped in history (and beer). You need to be aware that the rooms have no separate acces to the toilet (you have to walk through the lounge past the sofa bed there), but was not a problem for us. The provision of a bag of musli, milk, water and coffee helped to get us started on our first day. Highly recomendable.
Lovely central location with access to Prague Castle and Charles Bridge. Alex the owner meet us on our arrival and was very helpful and friendly. The apartment was light and spacious with excellent WiFi. This is the perfect place to be positioned to explore the beautiful city of prague. I would highly recommend the apartment to future visitors.
Apt Pompeii is in an excellent location in central Prague. In a quiet street across the river from the Old Town, it is an easy walk to the historic city centre. I stayed with my daughter and her young son and we found the apartment to be roomy and comfortable. The owner (Alex) was very helpful, meeting us at the apartment and helping us get settled in. I will definitely consider staying here again when I next visit Prague.
I cannot tell something else than the other guest: It´s a very well located apt. in a quiet, peaceful, friendly neighborhood out of the hectic of the city and its tourists. Your neighbor at right is the residence of the Prime Minister, therefore aren´t any thru-traffic, discos, bars … The stations of the Metro, trams and a bus are really nearby (less than 100m). But we needed them actually scarcely, cause it is directly at Manesuv-Bridge, opposite the Rudolfinum. So all the main attractions of Prague are in a walking distance of 1, max. 2 kms.
The apt. is absolutely like described and in a good and clean condition. If you don´t like to sleep together in the bed (it´s not a small qs-bed, but really bright enough for 2 large people!), one guest can sleep in the living room on a comfortable sofa.
Alessandro is a very friendly and helpful host. He arranged everything very well: unproblematic, very flexible check in/out; good advices for our staying, quick response of e-mail-requests. (F.e.: He was so helpfull to get back the keys of our home in Hamburg, that we have forgotten in his apt.)
Alessandro, we thank you so much for your hospitality. It was a great time in your home. You´re a wonderful host.
2 advices from me:
Avoid the small Mini-Market (with red label) across the street to the bridge at the traffic lights. It is extremely expensive.
I recommend the restaurant Na Klárove. When you enter the street, right just round the corner the 3rd restaurant (at the end of the block!). Good Bohemian meals, good beer, very friendly and quick service and fair prices.
