We arrived in Prague from the US and were quite tired. Our hotel recommended this restaurant and actually escorted us there which was good as we might not have found it ourselves. The atmosphere was very pleasant, the food was authentic and delicious and the service was prompt and courteous. They recommended a local wine which was quite good. Our children enjoy trying various cuisines and they enjoyed the local selections for their meal. I am not sure if there was a more traditional "children's menu" available for picky eaters, but the staff seemed very willing to accommodate. We were easily able to walk back to the hotel afterward, now being a bit more familiar with our location. The restaurant was near lovely little kiosks and the main square so we enjoyed a brief walk afterward.
We felt the prices were very reasonable, however as this is our first time in Prague we did not have other experiences to compare it to. Family of four with a bottle of wine and a tip was approximately $150 USD.

The atmosphere is old school, nothing modern, contemporary.
I had the duck menu. It started off absolutely spectacular with the appetizer, maple smoked duck. Amazing The foie gras was good, but still a little cold in the center. The rest was fine, roasted then grilled duck.
Good wine selection.
If you are staying in the Mala Strana, or find yourself in the area, this restaurant is worth trying if you like the Old World atmosphere.

Walking into this place is like walking into a fairy tale. But, don't forget, reservations are required to partake! Lots of duck and wild boar on the menu. We loved everything we ordered. Even the local wine is impressive. The highlight however were the crepes, made table-side, for dessert. This place is definitely, a do not miss!

Hidden on a side street but that was part of the adventure. Like something out of a spy movie. Candle lit and cozy. Attentive but not overbearing service. I picked a czeck red wine and waiter upgraded us to what he considered a better wine (and it was) at no charge. Mixed salad was perfect and we two of the three duck specials. Delicious. When we left one of the owners walked us to the corner to point us in the right direction.

Traditional Czech cuisine with great choices of ingredients and skilfully prepare. Some ingredients are game from the northern part of the country. This restaurant have Incredible homemade bread and butter, family like service where I thought that this is a family run restaurant(the waitress have a good sense of humour on that too)! Beautiful classic Bohemian style decoration. From my humble opinion, this restaurant is good for couple, family and solo. Oh and by the end of the Dégustation Menu there is a surprise dessert preparation where the waiter will show is cooking skill right next to your table ;)
