“Good Best Western Quality for a Great Price in Downtown Prague”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 January 2012

A nice rather small hotel close to downtown (10 minutes walk to the National Theatre), acessible easily by public transportation as well as car (hotel has its own parking 3 minutes walk from the hotel - INCLUDED in the room rates). Very good breakfast buffet also included. Small rooms, but clean and relatively modern. The only downside was the service. Check-in was ok, but the servesr at breakfast were very unfriendly, talking bad about the guests, hoping no one understands.
But if you choose this place, you will be close to downtown (across the river) with much lower rates then on the other side. Shopping also very close (shopping center Novy Smichov), walking distance from the hotel. Wifi available, but I had issues to connect.

Room Tip: We had a room facing the inner-court that was really quite.

Good hotel - very good value for money. Location out of city centre, so quiet at night, but 5 minutes walk from the tram stop which takes you all over. Trams very frequent - we never had to wait more than 10 minutes. Walkable to the Charles Bridge and Old Town if you're feeling more energetic. Breakfast good and room was clean and comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. We had a room facing the park which was lovely.
Woudl definitely go back.

Room Tip: See if you can get a room overlooking the park

We were here for New Years for three nights. The hotel was in a good location if you enjoy walking, which we really did. It was in a quiet area near the Park. We never once had to take the bus or tram. When we left, they had a taxi for us for 300 Czk, which to us was very reasonable.
The rooms were clean enough, the only thing I think they could improve upon would be the floors. They did not appear to have been swept well when we first arrived, which I think makes a difference and should not be overlooked.
The front desk was nice and helped with our questions. They have two desks for guests to use internet, unfortunately neither ones connected to the internet after numerous trys.
The bar was expensive, but the bar tender was a very nice person.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Our family had the great pleasure to stay at Kinsky Garden for a whole week during Christmas 2011.
Everything was as we expected; nice, cunning and helpful staff, two adjoining very large and nice rooms, a breakfast buffé that lacked nothing, in a nice and quiet area, view towards Petrin Hill (3rd floor), and very close to trams and a Metro station, a huge shopping mall at Andel (less than a ten minutes walk), and a lot of nice restaurants within a short walking distance.
With the trams and the Metro, it was easy to go to Prague Castle and the Old Town in a short trip.
When we go back to Prague (as we will for sure, as it is a very nice and beautiful city, with it's own personal touch), we hope that we can stay at Kinsky Garden again.
A special thanks from us to Jana in the bar, and to the lovely Valeria in the lobby (She even speak Swedish fluently!).
We can highly recommend this hotel for a stay in the great city of Prague.

Room Tip: If you travel as a family, and need more than one room, try to get rooms 309 and 310. They are adjoi...

This hotel is in a quiet area of Prague, but easily accessible to the Old town and the Castle by tram. The tram stop is less then a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Your also close to the Andel mall, probably a 5-10 minute walk. Lovely room, great view, breakfast was very good. We were usually there for breakfast before 8:30 a.m., but did notice the later you were there to eat, food didn't seem to be replenished. Internet was a problem, it was hit or miss. Our room was very warm for some reason, even in December, so much so that we kept the windown cracked. Wasn't a problem though.

Room Tip: We had a room overlooking Petrin Hill, very quiet.
