Owner description: Situated at the Prague Castle, St. Vitus Cathedral is the most important and largest church in Prague. The cathedral is the burial place of the former Czech kings and a home of the Czech Crown Jewels.

Located inside the Presidential Palace complex, the St. Vitus Cathedral has unique interior designs and architectural sculptures. If you want to go inside, it is free. But, if you want to go more, you need to pay 250czk per person and then you can go more deeper into the Cathedral. 250czk is for many places (Golden Lane, Museums and the Old Castle).

Please do remind that there will be security check before you go inside the complex since it’s a Presidential Palace.

The building is beautiful and for me was the only thing in the castle complex that really stood out. The climb of the tower being the highlight. The only downside for me was the price. Unreasonably high and you pay separately for the cathedral, tower and to take photos.

Unless you are a fan of Gothic church architecture, your time is better spent visiitng other sights within the "Prague Castle" compound - its the first so gets inundated with tourists for no particular reason.

When you enter to the castle, first head up to the Cathedral and be sure you visit in the early morning otherwise you should wait for long. By the way don’t forget, it is closed on Mondays.

Fascinating history which we only really learned about on our night tour. It made us wish that had actually paid for tickets to go inside and look properly as we would have liked to see the St Wenceslas chapel. We will certainly do that next time!
