We bought the A Tour package, which included access to most of the main attractions to the castle. If you want to see everything, recommend either starting first thing in the morning or giving yourself two days so you don’t feel like you have to rush. We started late morning on the first day and came back early the next day to finish up in time for lunch.

The main attraction is St Vitus Church (# VIII on the castle map); it is impressive on its own. If you only see one thing at the castle, that’d be the one to visit.

They do a changing of Guards at noon; if you’d like to see that the best spot is near the exit at the front of the castle.

Thank Joe N

Visited Prague castle about 4:30pm and didn't know they close at 5pm.
Tried to buy tickets at information office, but was not able to buy as it's almost 5pm.
When they explained that we can buy ticket from tomorrow 9am, we didn't understand well with first explanation then
she was very annoyed.
If guests don't understand well, please try to explain with kindness in detail.
You know your mother language and mine is not English. PLEASE BE KIND.

Actually it is NOT the largest castle in the world as claimed but rather a largest compound surrounded by the most land - 7 hectares of it. The Castle proper is flooded with tourists but we found other attractions in the compound were much more interesting - and less visited

Disorganised and completely packed with tourists. Info Centre conveniently placed at the end of the complex. Ticket prices quite steep in my opinion. The cathedral is impressive. A couple of cafes and restaurants with a nice view. The best for me was the cathedral tower. Quite a climb but its absolutely worth it. The view of the city is breathtaking.

Don´t miss Golden Lane, it makes you undestand people´s life and pressure of Church on their life in the middle ages.
