From the spider webs/nest in the corner of the room to the filthy carpets out in the hallway, to the stench of sewer gas coming from the bathroom that was bad enough to gag a maggot, then back to the bed which was so saggy that we both woke up with sore backs in the mornings. There is a theater one floor down, directly under the rooms, that puts on nightly shows.

It is not all bad, but it is hard to get past the things listed above. You have to climb two floors up (no lift) to get to the rooms, but the wide stairways had nice granite steps and painted plaster molding on the walls. Sure the hall carpet was very dirty, but the hall had nice light fixtures. (See pictures.) Breakfast did not start until 9:00 in a pizza place a couple of doors down, but it was tasty. The TV did not work, but it had a remote. There was a sitting area out in the hallway, but I was afraid of what might crawl out from under the cushions. Though located in the Czech Republic, they refused to accept Czech currency, then could not come up with 2 Euros in change after I went to a currency exchange for Euros. Except for the spider nest up in the corner of the bedroom, the bedroom and bathroom themselves were very clean.

Even though we stayed there just a week ago, I see that Booking.com no longer list them, and that even on the Hotel's website you can not book a room for any date. I'll be watching for a different Hotel name at the same address.

The hotel is situated in the center of Prague, a few meters from Wenceslaus Square and on the main pedestrian route to the Old Town Square. Therefore, if you need a really quiet room, ask for one on the rear side of the building. The location of the hotel is superb for travellers who want to explore Prague on foot. In addition, a metro station is only a hundred metres away, and there are tram stops fairly close by.
Our room (en-suite) was well-furnished and clean. Don't expect any luxury, it's simple but fine if you want to spend the night there and not half the day as well. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast is served in a Greek restaurant next door; you get a buffet with quite a few choices that should fulfill most peoples' wishes.
The hotel is on the second and third floors of the building; there are shops on the street level and a small black light theatre (free for residents) on the first floor. The reception is a little hidden between the shops and also serves as a ticket office.
