Description: Grade 2 listed thatched roof property built in the 1530's. Was originally the Post Office and accommodation for the Postmaster, only becoming a pub in 2001. the property still has a lot of its original features, low ceilings, beams, an inglenook and original bread oven. The pub sells homemade cooked food and a small selection of local beers and more, recently obtaining entry into the Good Beer Guide. Warm welcome awaits.

Sunday roast at its best, no carvery, need to book because it is a small pub. once the meat has been served that's it so quality rather then the usual carvery quantity, home cooked and absolutely delicious

Friendly atmosphere as soon as you walk in :-) food is yummy and reasonably priced, no skimpy portions either!
Car park is small - so you may have to park on road... but overall would definitely recommend :-)

We are moving there soon and thought we would call in to see what it was like,we were made to feel very welcome and the locals are great,we had already eaten but we noticed other people dining and the food looked fantastic and plenty of it,we will definitely be giving it a go when we return.Lorraine and Tim are the landlords and make you feel part of the crowd.
