We were en route to a funeral at the nearby crematorium, on 20 March, and were running early, but in need of sustenance. With no knowledge of the area, we chanced upon Caffe Vero - the main priority was a loo for my 87 year old mother, which they have and it is clean and functional and accessible.
With that task out of the way, we settled down to coffee and were seduced by the offer ot toasted teacakes. Jam, rather than butter, was not a problem and they were lush and just the job.
The hosts were friendly without being interfering and nothing was too much trouble.
