Chateau La Foret is a beautiful setting with 2 swimming pools, bar / café / restaurant on site. There were also table tennis tables, a football pitch and crazy golf. The chalet was spotlessly clean with everything you need for your stay. The owners were very helpful and did everything possible to make sure your stay was comfortable and enjoyable. In the grounds a short walk away is 'Le Grand Defi' - a huge Go Ape type place with dozens of zip-wires and the wires over the lake were amazing, I could have done that all day.
Overall a lovely stay, great for families, i would definitely recommend it.
We stayed at a 3 bedroom mobile home that had no privacy at all. The location is on a bad part of the Chateau grounds nearly without any shade and completely packed with other guests. Votre vacance has only a few places between the massive other stays from rent a tent etc.
The pool with slides is nice but the water is dirty and because the pool is not fully outdoor very hot.
On the Chateau grounds there are no seats to relax.
The climbing area is cool but expensive.
Won’t recommand this place!!
Never again what a deception.
Having stayed on several occasions with some of the large tour operators I arrived armed with cleaning materials , fully expecting to have to clean my caravan before unpacking but it was SPOTLESS! Also the beds were made up and a range of handy items such as tea, coffee, milk, olive oil , balsamic vinegar were already there meaning I could start my holiday from the moment I arrived. The site is really lovely with woodland walks, two pools (one indoor, one outdoor adult only) and a huge zip wire course for the adventurous. There is a friendly bar, restaurant and take away on site.Although busy during the day, the site has a "quiet policy" after 11.00 so sleeping isn't a problem and the mattresses are very comfortable! Beautiful beaches, chateaux and pretty French villages are within a 20-30 minute drive. The essential boulangerie is less than 5 minutes walk and large supermarkets a 20 min drive nearby in Le Mothe Achard. There is file full of info and the lovely manager Sarah is always happy to help if you need any further info. She showed us the best dog friendly beaches! I won't be booking with the big boys again!
Having stayed on this site several times with other operators, we choose to stay with Votre Vacances this time, the booking process was simple and any questions answered quickly by Sarah, on arrival we were greeted with a personal hand written letter directing us to our chalet, the chalet was spotlessly clean with provisions like handwash, washing up liquid, salt pepper, olive oil, milk provided, things that stood out above the competition was that fact that the beds were made up already, there were bath and hand towels, bath mats, tea towels, etc. you could tell that someone had thought about your arrival, I commented to my better half that it was clear that these chalets had a woman’s touch. (not being sexist) The deck was fitted with gate perfect to contain our small dog or a small child, the host Sarah came over to see us once we were settled and we saw her on several other occasions, she is a charming helpful young lady very helpful. We would also comment that the mattresses were extremely comfortable, better than other chalets we have experienced and the shower was really good, plenty of hot water at decent pressure. We would highly recommend Votre Vacances. Oh… and the site is great too, plenty to do and very friendly.
Well appointed chalets and immaculately kept. Excellent campsite with rustic Chateau, good pools and close proximity to France's version of Go-Ape "Le Grand Defi. Very helpful local host Sarah with lots of top tips for activities in the surrounding region. Kids had a great time and fantastic local Boulanger/Patisserie within in 5 mins walk. Also beautiful beaches only a 15-20 min drive away.
