Shangri-La in Nicaragua. This hotel is situated on an amazing piece of property. Surf breaks galore, sunsets to enjoy, views views views! Food is fantastic and the service is muy bueno! We had fresh lobster one night that I still dream about. The lounge/bar/restaurant is perched on a little piece of heaven, with open air windows to view the surf ,views and sunsets. This place has only been opened less than a year. Try to get here before the secret is out. We stayed in one of the self contained apartments. Views out the wing-wang. The fitness center is provided by mother nature herself -run, walk or do yoga on the beach, surf in the pristine waves. Prices are super reasonable. You won't want to leave.

It is difficult to describe how wonderful Magnific Rock is, the location is unbeatable, with beaches all around you and panoramic views of the ocean. Although I don't surf its seems like surfers paradise, even I could see that. The dorm rooms are very comfortable and clean but you won't be spending too much time there as the common area is where you will spend most of your time when your not on the beach. There are plenty of hammocks to catch a snooze in or you can be more social at the bar and enjoy happy hour :)

The food is wonderful, fresh and flavorful. The staff are all wonderful and always ready to have some fun. Go for a few days and you'll end up staying a few weeks !

This paradise is to be seen and lived. It is good for all budgets and worth any budgets. I would and do recommend it to everybody who can enjoy good surf, people, views and food. Just GO and see for yourself.

Magnific Rock is an ideal name for this place as it's absolutely magnificent. It's on a hill overlooking the water near to heaps of surf breaks. Popoyo main break, outer reef, santanas and two other breaks are visible from the hotel - awesome for surfers to check before heading out. My boyfriend and I came here thinking we'd stay 2 nights, we ended up here for 2 weeks. We surfed / paddle boarded everyday and chilled in the hammocks with a Tona between surfs.
The people who work there were excellent - chilled and happy to help whenever needed.
Dinner is awesome as they have an Italian chef who cooks up different meals every night... lobster ravioli, gnocchi, lasagne, steak!! Breakfast is also the bomb - thanks to the local chicas in the kitchen.
Popoyo is great as it's so isolated, especially in comparison to San Juan. Definitely worth the chicken bus ride out here... we'll be back!!!!

Room Tip: The apartments are the way to go! Perched on the cliff, we woke-up to unobstructed views of the ocean or just sat back and relaxed for the sunset.

I was blown away by how beautiful the views are... They're unlike any I've seen before. I found my time there to be therapeutic. To wake up and look outside for panoramic views of the ocean was just so peaceful. And for surfers- you can literally view 4 different breaks from the restaurant while your having breakfast- it's unreal.
Great, friendly service and Really good food. Great place to watch the sunset. Great comman area for hanging out- very laid back atmosphere. Stand-up paddle boards and surfboards to rent. Nightlife just down the road- and apparently being built on the ground level! I also like that they had privates apartment/hotel room options as well as the dorm rooms. I agree with a previous recommendation- get there while you can basically have it all to yourself! It will no doubt become a very popular place in the future.
