Overall very pleased with the hotel. Very clean place, nice rooms, pleasant staff. Location is good with plenty of places you can walk to. Beach views from the hotel are gorgeous. Parking is pricey but with no alternatives, it is what it is.

Let me begin with the fact that there is not one ugly or unattractive person working at this hotel. Customer service was great (beach staff, front desk staff, room service staff, and whoever the lady was that came around for turndown service)!! We got upgraded from a city view to an ocean view room for free and without asking!! Our room was right above the lounge that is on the 2nd floor but we were not bothered by the noise at all.The rooms are very small, the AC did not work very well as our room (#302) would not get too cool although it was not hot either. AC also does not work well in hallways of room floors or on the elevators. Also, there is no ventilation in the bathroom but there is a small window that opens. It can get pretty hot in there if you close the door. When taking showers our floors didnt get wet so not sure what the issue was for the other reviewers. However, the lighting is horrible for ladies when trying to do hair and make up. The best lighting is in the bathroom but as I previously stated it is too hot in there. THERE IS NO STORAGE AREA FOR LUGGAGE. Nevertheless, the hotel is on the better end of the beach as there is less seaweed and it is two hotels down from the best nightclub in PR called Brava which is located in the El San Juan Hotel. You can request for a mini frig to be put in your room for $20/entire stay which was awesome because we went to the grocery store to load up on water, juice, alcohol, and snacks. Room service food was pretty good...we had a cheeseburger and wings. Food is pricey ($16.97 for wings w/fries) but it is nothing out of the norm for hotels in this area. The roof top bar and lounge is cool but the female bartender has to be the slowest in the world. The cosmo that her counterpart made for me was great though!! The people working this club have the attitudes of what you would expect in a nightclub in LA so do not think that because it is a beach hotel that you can come with flip flops on. My boyfriend was told that he had to go back to our room to change his shoes. Come dressed to impress!! We only hung out there for an hour on friday night as we were bored so we headed to Old San juan. Note: Old San Juan shuts down around 2 or 2:30am...cabbies will not tell you this. You must eat at the restaurant down the street called Metropol. They have the best skirt steak mofongo with garlic sauce EVER!! We travel to PR twice a year because its an inexpensive getaway. My boyfriend said that he would not mind staying at this hotel again but I am still undecided as cool AC is very important to me. I only gave this hotel a Very Good because of the beach and GREAT customer service. Wish there was an option for just Good!

This is a 4-3.5 star hotel on the beach, close to old san juan with a reasonable price. The best part was the service especially the girl at the front desk, Joyleen. She really went out of her way to make our stay great.

We stayed there twice in October 2011.
Both times the room was brilliant...
If you've stayed at The Shore Club in Miami, then think of this as The Shore Club but in a better place and with a nicer beach and with great service, a good attentive staff and intimacy that's lacking from that posh *****South Beach Hotel.
It's near literally nothing but a restaurant called Mi Casita (a PR diner!) but after a bottle of Moet in ice on the beach and some shrimp ceviché served in little oval silver boxes, who cares!
In fact. upgrade to a suite and the possibility of any need to go home disappears. After about 10 days in October we are heading back in November around Thanksgiving for a repeat.

Room Tip: 602, 702, 802, 902 ( and add another room next door with a 3 after any of those and it's total...

The Hotel is nice but it's decor is definitely ultra modern. The rooms are nice. Bed are comfy. Neon light in hallways, elevators and room. Kinda cool and very novel. The "blacklight" in the room is a bit too much. Although you can turn on other lights, the main room light is "neon". Think they should have made it the other way around. Virtually no storage or drawer space in room but it was very clean. Bathroom nice. Housekeeping was good and responsive when we requested more towels. Nice turn down service. I worried about the floors beign tile and being sandy after we came in from the beach, but housekeeping kept them very clean.

This is a "party" hotel. The 4 days we were there, there was events almost every ngiht. Ordinarliy that would not have been a problem but one night they had booked out the entire second floor for a teenagers party. Our other friends were staying on that floor and it was riduclous. They got off the elevators to go to their room and were met by rude teenagers trying to exclude them from the floor. The music was so incredible loud, could even have a conversation in your own room. It was wall to wall people right outside their door. After complaining and being persistent, they were finally moved. It took almost 2 hours because they hotel was short staffed because there was also another party on the roof as well. Our room was on the 10th floor right below the club and the other parties but the noise really wasn't a problem.

Overall it was agood experience. Close to the airport. Right on the beach. Beauttiful views. Restaurant had excellent food. Enjoyed the breakfast. Service was great. Especially enjoyed the beach side drinks and food ( great wings). The waitress/bartender, Natalie, was amazing. She makes an amazing Long Island Iced Tea.

We had a blast!!

Room Tip: Not really suited for families with small kids.
