Owner Sam was very responsive to all our requests and conveniently his guesthouse (Boabdil) is located right next door. The casita is very spacious upstairs, the bedroom is large and the mattress is super comfortable (king size bed). The extra 'bed' is a wonderful large integrated sofa in the bedroom which makes a nice separate reading space. Great lighting throughout. The third floor has a rug and table with chair (with a fabulous view over the old city wall and of the church up the street) - great working space, or if you want to do stretches/yoga, move the table and chair - which I did. The downstairs is cozy and comfortable with sofa and a good size desk and chair, plus kitchen table etc. The spiral staircase makes it difficult to take anything larger than a carry-on suitcase upstairs. We unpacked downstairs and carried everything up - lots of storage in the bedroom.
There is a good bar for outside drinks and tapas at the end of the street before the arches. Through the arches and across the road is Bar San Francisco which has really good food at very reasonable prices - highly recommend.
Ronda has wonderful walking trails on both sides of the town, very close to the house - the closest being the trail down to the arab baths - make sure to explore!
We made side trips to Zahara (excellent and well worth the drive), Gracelema and Urbrique (not so worth it - the leather goods in Ronda are just the same price and more variety). We also drove to Marbella (and visited Puerto Banus and San Pedro de Alcantara) for the day - only a one hour drive.
Would love to return!
