Hotel Ronda is perfectly situated in the middle of 2 wonderful "walking" excursions, and the lovely sisters who run the place are extraordinarily helpful (we gave up trying to reach our next hotel/stop in Granada to arrange for last minute tix+guided tour for the Alhambra due to phone 'problems' but they persisted on their own while we strolled & dinnered and everything was arranged by the time we returned...totally awesome service). The hotel has a lovely deck that looks over the lovely countryside and the 'old' part of town...the bed was comfortable...there was enough light (constant irritation on our trip) but the welcoming and attentive attitude of the sisters made our stay delightful.

Room Tip: Try for the 2nd floor...

I picked this little hotel because of everyone's reviews.

My sister and I arrived by train and walked 25 minutes to arrive at this cute little place. Armed with our maps and mental images of the photos posted by previous guests, we had no difficulty finding Hotel Ronda. By the way, we took a taxi back to the train station (7 euros including tip) as it would have been an uphill walk and midday.

Although we arrived before noon, Room 3 on the ground floor with 2 double beds was available and we were checked in within 5 minutes.

When I walked into the room, I immediately recognized the burgundy colors and artwork. It is the room featured in many photographs. There was a very large antique wooden armoire, a small desk and a small but well equipped bathroom. There was little space next to the sink but a wooden table with multiple shelves was located near the door. Many hooks throughout the bathroom to hang towels, clothes, etc.

The only minor issue we had was with the electric hotpot for boiling water. A previous guest had left water in it which caused the bottom to look a bit yucky. My sister tried to get a new pot, but the lady who is on the night shift (Nieves' aunt) said it was just calcium deposits and cleaned it out for us. We had purchased some pastries during our evening paseo and wanted a spot of tea to go with it. The next morning, Nieves herself apologized for the inconvenience even though it was the fault of the previous guest and not the hotel's. To me, this was a clear demonstration of the hotel's owner in the value of customer satisfaction since word-of-mouth - or in this case, words of TripAdvisor, are key to a small hotel's success.

We stayed in 6 different hotel rooms during our 11 night stay in Spain and Hotel Ronda was the most pleasant place we stayed in because of its location and the service.

My wife and I stayed here recently in October and couldn't of picked a better place to stay in Ronda. It's in the old town which I feel has always got more charm then staying in the new touristy part of any town. The Ronda bridge was just a100 meters away from Hotel Ronda and to get there you head to the old town and after crossing the bridge there is a litte cobblestone driveway going down a pathway and you will see a restaurant on your left .. Keep going down and you will pass a little cafe\bar on the right and hotel Ronda is just after that on the right.

The lovely lady owner was amazing and always had the biggest smile on her face and nothing was a bother for her. Our room was a huge double bedroom with a hotel quality private bathroom and the bed was so comfy and luxurious. The room and bathroom was spotless you could of eaten off the floor and our bedroom was huge ..by far biggest bedroom I have seen anywhere.

Definitely worth all the amazing reviews they have been getting! ... Oh and it's cheap at 68 euros I think for our room!!!! Bargain!!!

Room Tip: Don't drive Ronda has limited parking plus train or bus ride in was beautiful for the views

We stayed in Ronda for four nights as a base for exploring the surrounding towns. Hotel Ronda is a great location, very central (but the parking was some distance away). Our room was spotless, and the lady who runs the hotel was very helpful. We were on the ground floor, so there was some noise when people were coming and going through reception. The room was not very large for an extended stay.

We loved this little place in the pretty town of Ronda. It was easy to find and had a convenient temporary parking spot where one could drop off the luggage and check into the hotel. The lady is indeed delightful as other reviewers have mentioned. She gave us good advice on where to find free parking, a rare occurrence during our trip. The hotel itself is small but in a great location, walking distance to everywhere. We had 2 rooms on the main floor, both were comfortable and clean. Although the hotel doesn't have have breakfast facilities, the lady of the house does serve coffee/tea and fruit in the morning in the reception area. This is a special place because of her helpfulness.
