The location is very nice, close to the beach and even the whalebone is characteristics. The food was delicious but we spent more than 3h to complete the dinner fortunately a French elderly couple was really lovely

The center price of the restaurant is the jawbone of a blue whale skull. It is just under 3 meters tall. Definitely worth checking out, even only for a drink or an appetizer. The food was good, staff friendly. It has a real beach vibe (although not actually on the beach). We had Christmas dinner there and had the whole place to ourselves. Check it out you will be glad that you did.

Now this was not something we had expected when we visited Neil island. We were there for a day and had not made any special dinner plans. I stumbled upon this place when I checked on the brochure I had picked up from Port blair airport. It mentioned that there was a Whale skull on display and I did not want to miss it :).
Its a quaint little place which you can easily miss when not in season. I had been there for dinner with my wife. Its a small shack with a few tables strewn around. There is a lot of random art which on closer inspection you would find are beautiful sea shells. The whale skull is undoubtedly the most amazing part of the whole ambience.
The food here was really amazing. Mr balaram, the owner took us through the whole menu with recommendations, He even let us in to have a look at the food being cooked. We had lobster and Kakori(local fish), really well done. Ask him for recommendations and he will come up with a variety of ideas.

Bolais is such a perfect host and really really knows how to manage sea food ! Ask for red snapper (with lime garlic and ginger), tiger prawns (very Big) and lobster (so tasty). We tasted them all so delicious and fresh! Thank you so much see you next time

Friendly place, with wonderful food. We had jambo shrimps served in a banana leaf and grilled after being very well seasoned with ginger and spices and served with rice biryani. The food was excellent and the owner very friendly. The decor consists of a whale's skeleton, which died at sea and was found on the shore 11 years ago.
