“Beautiful relaxing barn”
Reviewed 19 June 2018 for a stay in June 2018

Robin's Barn is a wonderful place to stay for relaxation and amazing views! With its own private garden but still having the use of the owners extensive grounds for walking your dog or just admiring the wildlife, along with being brilliantly equipped. We stayed in June and had lovely weather, so spent most of our time outside but I can imagine it's very cosy and snug in the winter months. The owners have gone to a lot of trouble to give maps, descriptions and suggestions of local walks from the front door in addition to restaurants/pubs and local places of interest - You will never be bored! Would highly recommend as a little Welsh treasure.

“Beautiful and peaceful”
Reviewed 26 March 2018 for a stay in March 2018

We stayed at Robins barn for 5 nights in March. The cottage is lovely and very cosey, lovely wood burner. Jane and Tim are very nice and are there to help if you need anything. Jane has taken the time to type put some fantastic dog walks in the local area. It’s so beautiful and defo worth going on these walks. It was so nice to relax and watch films / read. I would recommend taking food with you rather than arriving then going out to shop as the shops are not close by. The only thing I would say is dogs are not allowed upstairs, which is fine and I’m sure very common in self-catering. However if you have a needy dog who will whine all night if he/she can’t be with you, then be warned the stairs are not suitable for dogs at all and the two sofas are two seaters so sleeping downstairs with the dog wouldn’t be an option. It was fine for us as our dog sleeps well in his basket in separate rooms to us at home, but I thought I should highlight this in case you like your dog on the bed with you! We went to The Inn at penalt for home made pizza on the Thursday and it was amazing! They let you take dogs in to this pub. Defo worth a visit and is a 25 min walk from the barn. Just be warned if it’s snowing you will have to call tim so he can direct you downhill as our Audi didn’t get up some of the hills in the snow! All in all perfect little retreat for a peaceful break and amazing doggie walks.

“Perfect”
Reviewed 2 March 2018 for a stay in February 2018

Jane and her husband were wonderful hosts and the whole weekend was brilliant. Great walks from right outside your front door that were all slightly different so you got a good variety. Cottage was exactly as described and the log burner was perfect considering the weather outside. Decent selection of eating places within easy reach all of which were very good. I can fully understand why the visitors book is full of people who have visited more than once because the whole set up is just top drawer.
