This is one of the best designed places we have stayed at. The jungle surrounds but does not suffocate you. The service is up to 5 star. The individual buildings are consistent with some of the area history. The food was really good and you can add to the menu with special requests with minimum to no fuss.
The beach is 100 steps away and was basically deserted for the 3 days I was there.
The only negatives were the lack of hot water and the wine pricing. This Eco resort could easily add solar to heat the water from cold to warm. Wine at $40/bottle could be sold by the glass or lowered in price or both. These are minor complaints compared with the rest of the experience (maybe excepting the hot water situation which is a hotel policy situation not accidental).More
