This is basically a take away restaurant not an eat-in. The food is so good that even when we moved out of the area, I still sent my husband on a 20 minute drive each way to get the food.
I have tried three other Chinese restaurants in our area (minto) but I would always be comparing them to Chans at Casula and now don’t bother with the convenience of being near home, I’d rather wait longer for really good Chinese food.
My favourite is the honey chicken because they keep the chicken separate from the honey sauce so it doesn’t go soggy or get sweaty and there’s plenty of honey sauce to put on the fried rice which is also excellent. Huge bag of prawn crackers. Beef in black bean and Mongolian dishes are the best I’ve had.
Although I haven’t tried everything on the menu over the past 15 years, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them or try different dishes. We feed a family of 4 (including 2 teenage boys) with $50 and have enough left over for a couple of meals.
