“Relaxing holiday in a very clean well equipped Gite in quiet friendly village.”
Reviewed 19 October 2016 for a stay in August 2016

We enjoyed a lovely holiday at Rose Cottage. The cottage, owned by a local English family, is very well equipped including washing machine, cooker with oven, (some do not have ovens), all bedding required and towels, and a BBQ in the garden.
The owners are very relaxed and friendly. The local people include friendly ex-pats and very friendly local villagers and small and friendly Bar.
Taking a canoe trip down the local river is a must. There are good markets within a short drive, so ask for info on these.
We will definitely return.

“Home from Home in lovely countryside”
Reviewed 18 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Spacious, comfortable and well equipped, Rose Cottage is a real home from home. Ideal location for exploring the lovely countryside, towns and villages in Vienne and Poitou. There is no shop or restaurant in the village but L'Isle-Jourdain, just a few miles away, has a supermarket and several restaurants, as well as a swimming pool and leisure centre. The English-speaking owners are warmly welcoming and on hand to offer advice and assistance. Would definitely recommend for a relaxing stay in rural France.

“A beautiful cottage in a lovely quiet traditional French village”

We had the most wonderful stay at Rose Cottage. Based in a beautiful quiet little village near the river Vienne. Perfect for the keen fisherman. Many attractions surround the village, for great family days out, including Valles De Singes (Monkey park) and for the dads, a F1 motor racing track! (Circuit da val de Vienne) nearest supermarket is L'Isle Jourdain, where there is also tourist information centre. For traditional French markets, where you can buy fresh local produce we recommend Chauvigny. We really felt like we had a taste of France, the locals were very friendly, and our hosts were on hand to cater for our every needs! We miss Rose Cottage already and have booked again for next year, as we had such a lovely time.
