Reviewed 3 January 2018 for a stay in December 2017

An excellent holiday let with lots of thoughtful touches, heaps of character and creative design using reclaimed and up-cycled materials. The location is excellent with great views (sadly it seems there's going to be a development directly infront of the property which may block the ocean views). There was a complimentary bottle of wine on arrival and there are lots of equipment, games and holiday things you can borrow (please be a considerate guest and return - even better leave a small contribution for the next guests).

Alfonso and Maria were helpful but discrete.

Playa Quemada is a lovely, sleepy little village - perfect if you want to get away from it all. Lots of great walks and a very relaxed semi-naturist beach a small hike away.

The accommodation includes lots of literature on environmental and ecological initiatives, which is commendable. Our only criticism would be that the owners should perhaps consider their own actions ie the apartment is full of shells, coral etc used as decorations -- twenty or thirty years of this type of 'beachcombing' across the globe is contributing to the loss of marine life. It's rather ironic because the imminent collapse of fish stocks is going to especially impact upon the Canaries.

Overall, we were very sad to leave and if we'd known better would have stayed longer.
