I think we may have been the first people to rent this holiday property. The initial advert on this site does not contain enough information about the rental. It does not state that bed linen costs extra, and so too does the Internet.
Although we received a discounted price, these were hidden costs, so be aware. It also doesn't show that the downstairs bedroom has no outside window in it, it is like a tomb - very claustrophobic.
At the Immoroses office when we went to collect the keys, the paperwork was confusing. We had been informed that cleaning the day we left was not included, and yet this paperwork said it was. Also, we paid the government tax for six people, but the paperwork said we don't pay for children, of which we had two. I was unable to make myself understood on this point. A router was given to us with no information about the password. Consequently we wasted three days trying to connect using the wrong password.
When we entered the house it smelled of cigarettes. As non- smokers we found this abhorrent every time we came back.
This house is not adequately serviced for eight people. No kettle, a toaster which worked sporadically, two mugs, no wine glasses, insufficient cooking pots etc.etc.etc.
When we requested items we were emailed days later to say they would be provided. They never arrived.
It wasn't all bad however. We loved the location, we loved Roses itself. Thank god there was air con upstairs and down, and there was lots of secure outdoor space for the children. Also a good parking space. There was plenty of garden pegs and drying facilities - just what you need after days on the beach - and outside taps too, which was great. Two good-sized bath/shower rooms with efficient showers too.
I have emailed the agency separately stating some concerns, and I hope my complaints are taken up. The agency's communication was very good, until we got to the property and from then on it was practically non- existent.
Go to Roses, it's lovely, but don't stay here.
