My daughter and I tried to check into the hotel and instantly the receptionist asked for my identification. I gave him my driving license and he shouted at me that this is not identification and then continued shouting at me in front of other guests and my daughter. He was incredibly rude and made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. I asked for the manager and he replied that he is relaxing at home. We were then given the worst room in the hotel facing a back street, the tiles on the balcony were cracked and unsafe and the hallway carpet was like a nightclub after not cleaning it for a year. I am furious to how we were treated. None of this was necessary.

Hotel illusion golf is situated on the outskirts of Badajoz so it has easy access from the main roads without entering the city. Large comfortable rooms. Ours had two balconies overlooking the pool and golf course. Good food. Friendly, helpful staff and good parking

We haven't even stayed in this hotel. They say that they allow dogs, but then send an e-mail saying it's 30E extra per dog, and only 1 dog per room.
I understand that dogs can cause problems, but this seems to be just a way of making money. They should just admit that they don't want dogs, and forget the whole 'dog treat on arrival ' drivel.
