This hotel is just in the perfect location of Ayia Napa, offering fantastic views over the most amazing turquoise waters of Grecian Bay. The Breakfast is out of this world, with so much choice to choose from, even though every day the same food is provided we didnt get bored of it. We were on a BB basis and didnt eat there in the evenings as Ayia Napa was only a stroll away, offering a range of good restaurants, The Mezepolis is on the left as you walk into Ayia Napa, another great place to eat is Sage, this restaurant is amazing...... Michelin STAR!!! a real treat though with attention to detail.
The hotel is beautiful with very smiley breakfast Staff in paticular Anika.
We were a family of three including a teenage daughter.
We would all recommend staying at Grecian Sands. A must boat trip is Captain Marko's - 20.00 Euro including lunch. ( Full day ). other activities are available at the harbour, we also did Parasailing. Snorkelling at the bay to the left of Grecian Sands Private Beach is a must! we used an under water Camera. Grecian Sands has a beach towel facility so there is no need to take your own towel o the beach/pool, also loungers are free, compared to the rest of the beach which is payable at 2.50 Euro a lounger and 2.00Euro an umbrella.
I havent given the spa a rating as we didnt use the Spa facilities. Service a 4 as we did have a problem wehn we arrived at our room at 2am in the morning, we had booked for 3 adults and obviously paid for 3 adults ( even though we were 2 adults and a child aged 13) however our room had 2 beds in it with a camp bed!! this to us was not expected as we were not going camping! this wasnt sorted very easily as I was told by a member of staff that here in Cyprus we work by day and that he would sort it in the morning. I wasnt expecting it to be sorted asap, but I also wasnt expecting any of us to be on a camp bed for a fortnight after paying full adult rate. hence my 4 for service and room. The cleaner on floor 4 was excellent too! We would stay there again defo! amazing place and far from the "young kids" of Ayia Napa! - having said that if you want any Hotel entertainment there isnt any ( hotel entertainment isnt our thing anyway) This side of Ayia Napa is for professionals (more expensive)and families.

This is mine and my girlfriends second visit to the Grecian Sands as we previously stayed here in August 2010 and loved it which is why we booked again. They have made a few changes since our last visit which was a nice surprise but overall they have kept their high standards!

Our room was on the 4th floor as we requested this when we booked and to our surprise we had a sea view, which we didn't actually ask for! I was told from another guest that this would be around 150 euros if we were to upgrade so it was a nice surprise! The only problem we had with the room was because it was situated right next to the lift we could hear some noise throughout the night of the mechanism where people were using it, but it wasn't too loud and we got used to it. Also the sheets were sometimes changed and still had some stains on them?! Not big stains but still a couple of marks.

The restaurant is a nice place to eat but men have to wear trousers and women it's said have to cover shoulders but no one seemed to bother with the second rule. Men will get turned away if they are in shorts. Jeans seem to be ok though.
You get a slim choice from the menu, usually only two options for each course (four courses) but the food is really nice. We were half board so didn't really venture out to any eating establishments as we enjoyed the hotel food. Breakfast is a buffet style set up with everything you can think of. Also a chef is waiting to cook fresh eggs or omelettes staff are always hurrying around filling empty trays. Tuesdays are international buffet night and you get to sit outside overlooking the sea and enjoy a live singer. Fridays were my favorite as this was BBQ night and before you go down to your table you get to have a free cocktail and meet the staff in the bar, as soon as you walk in the manager will have a little chat with you. At 8pm you can go down and sit outside again and they put on a folk dancing show and live music but the food is so nice and the best bit of the night!

During the day you might have to get down early to get a sunbed around the pool as these seem to get snatched up quite early. Once you have your sunbed you can just relax as staff are always walking around waiting to take an order for food or drink. They will also quite happily have a chat with you to!
The Grecian Sands also has its own private beach which you can access the sea down a few steps. They also offer free sunbed towels that you can exchange everyday for clean ones which is a nice touch so you don't have to worry about getting your own ones dirty!

We had hired a car for our stay as we would be travelling around the island visiting people and seeing sites but the main square is only a 10 minute walk from the hotel and along the way there are pubs, restaurants and shops.

Overall the Grecian Sands is a lovely hotel that is just the right distance from the main hustle and bustle of the main square. I will definitely stay here again!!

Dear Sir/Madam,

Having just returned from our holiday in Ayia Napa (8th to the 22nd of August 2012) and our second successive stay at the Grecian Sands Hotel, I would just like to extend our sincere thanks for the hospitaility received. Staff were brilliant and the quality of food was something to behold, combine this with the weather, made for an oustanding holiday. I would like to commend all the staff at the hotel, especially Sakis, Christoforo, Stella, Georgia, Ivana and the hotel chefs; each and everyone of you are a credit to your hotel. Also, as we were celebrating our 10th anniversary, I thought the complimentary champagne provided to myself and wife was a lovely gesture; thank you very much.

We will definitely be returning for our third visit next year and am already looking forward to it.

Thanks,

Mark, Patricia and Caroline

Room Tip: Ask for the 2nd floor with a sea view, balconies are very spacious.

We have just returned from Grecian Sands after attending a family wedding. The hotel is an ideal wedding venue with a fantasitc backdrop for an outdoor ceremony and photographs. The location is perfect just a 20 minute stroll into Ayia Napa and the option to walk along the beach which brings you out at Ayia Napa harbour.

We upgraded our room to an Executive Studio room which are more spacious than a standard and as we had our 12 year old daughter sharing with is this was a must. Request a room with a sea veiw so you can watch the sunset from your balcony and enjoy the scenary making it a bit more special. The rooms are cleaned daily and toiletries and towels replenished excellent.

The breakfast buffet has a really good selection of breakfast and there is an option to sit outside for on the terrace Al fresco style to take in the sea view. It would have been handy to have a meet and greet at breakfast on our first day so we knew where tea and coffee were and the general layout although we soon got the idea and there are plenty of staff around to ask. The dinner is waiter service and again the quality of the food and service excellent. I'm not sure what time the restaurant closes but we went to dinner at 8pm most evenings and sometimes did feel a bit rushed as staff efficiently cleared plates as soon as we had taken our last bite and one night started to close the blinds in the restaurant!

The pool area is lovely and staff come and take drinks orders so you don't have to even move on you lounger! The bar and outside conservatory area are a nice place to relax with a drink after dinner although the drinks prices are more reasonable in the nearby bars. The hotel does provide a pianist and singers on certain evenings in the bar but not really much atmosphere as I think the prices put people off so may want to consider a happy hour or similar to attract people into the bar.

Overall this is a well run hotel with a very efficient and friendly team. We really enjoyed our stay here and would have no hesitation in returning and recommending to others.

Room Tip: Request a sea veiw.
