A health resort should of course have a "Kurhaus" along with a pier. And Binz have them both.
The Binz pier is 370 m long and was originally built in the early 1900:s. It's nothing special in itself, but gives a beautiful panorama over the sea and the Binz beach.
For a more spectacular pier experience, go to the neighbouring town of Sellin. There you find a pier with a wow factor.
Quick stop at the Seebruecke on a beautiful day. Views are great, site is unique, very clean and well kept , some high-end shopping and dining. Well worth the trip. Would like to spend more time...
We stayed 4 days in Binz, bicycling the surrounding areas. This seabridge was very nice and an important part of the image of this sea resort Binz.
Nice to go on the sunset and catch the light and the view from the city, the ocean and the cliffs from there! Really special.
It's nice to walk out to the sea and have a look at the shore from it as well to the "Kreidefelsen".
This pier has had a sad history and has been burnt down and crashed into. It is now very safe and it is a pleasant walk to the end to stare out at the sea. But on the beach before you get onto the pier is a kiosk with seating and some Strandkorbs, and that is where I recommend you have their Fisch und Frites - quite the best fish and chips ever - freshly made as you stand and wait and beautifully presented. A joy !
