It was our first time to Sushi Yah-Man and what a delightful surprise it was. We just moved back to Noosa and were looking for a nice Japanese restaurant with an all round menu. We arrived around 18.30 and the place was very pleasantly lightened up and it looked appealing already at first glance. The furniture outside is very nice, teck tables and chairs and the inside is decorated with a lot of taste, from the long wooden trunk table to the sushi train, the bar and décor in general. The staff was very welcoming and the service was truly excellent. We ordered a mixed Nigiri set, a wakame salad, Asahi beer and a glass of Chardonnay. The service was quick and efficient and this considering that by 19.00 the restaurant was full and turning people away. So it is prudent to reserve in advance even week days. The food as such was of excellent quality. We completed our meal by taking up a few sushis from the sushi train, which was easy and no waiting time of course. We finished with a sake and some green tea ice cream that was delicious. We are just looking forward to the next time we go there. It is really encouraging to see a very good quality restaurant now at Junction, with prices that very reasonable, the whole meal cost us $85.00. It's really good to see progressively some good restaurants coming to Junction, a healthy diversification from Hasting Street and Gympie Terrace. We are so pleased to have found "our" Japanese restaurant in Noosa and what a refreshing change compared to the ott Wasabi!

For mid week, this place is packed. There was no waiting for a seat though, and the food was fantastic off the menu. Pleasant service and reasonably priced.

We've been visiting Noosa regularly for many years, visiting the well-established restaurants (including Sails, Season, Bistro C, Wasabi), and can honestly say that Sushi Yah-Man is absolutely right up there for beautiful food, and excellent and happy service. We were amazed by the consistent perfect freshness and quality of the seafood in the variety of dishes we ordered, as well as the lovely flavours. Sashimi, nigiri, Japanese scallop spoons, seafood 'pancakes', beef tataki and lamb cutlets all very delicious. The restaurant was very busy even early on a Wednesday evening, and the speed of service, professionalism and good humour of the wait staff was impressive. Fabulous all round, and very good value for money.

Sushi Yah man has been a popular little restaurant since it opened a couple of years back and I now know why. Good casual Japanese food in a buzzy but relaxed setting with friendly and efficient service makes this a light and fun place to dine. The menu is traditional and offers all of the usuals including Soba and Udon Noodle Soups, Chicken Karage, Gyoza, Sushi, Sashimi and Agedeshi Tofu as well as sides of Edamame and Miso. To mix it up they do variations of the classics and I had to try a Chicken Parmigana Sushi Roll off the specials which was absolutely epic! To wash it down they have Kirin and Sapporo on tap and a traditional plum wine which was easy to drink and tasted like an exotic cider to go with Sake for those who are fans. Sweets also sounded impressive but we were too full from our meals so we had to take a rain check. All up Sushi yah man is a great little place for casual Japanese food.
