The apartment is spacious and there is ample parking. Great location on Hastings St. Pity that the owners who leave it to the management staff to look after, exercise less care and attention to details than other apartments I have stayed in. For instance, there is limited supply of tea bags (no top up for the 2 days we were there); the mattress of the twin bed needs turning (sinks in the center). The second bathroom has a shower that you need to step into a tub and the height is such that it is positively dangerous. The walk in shower in the master bedroom is fine - but tiles are slippery. The service is non existent although the on-site manager does a good job and is responsive

Room Tip: The second bathroom is only good for people with LONG LEGS who can access the bathtub to get into a...

Just completed our 10th extended stay at 'The Emerald' at Noosa. Absolutely love the place! The location on Hastings (the Main) Street, the apartments, the pool and sauna, the beach across the road, the decor, the atmosphere and best of all...the people. Emma and Sinead are absolutely marvellous. It seems their entire concentration is making sure all the guests have a wonderful stay. Congratulations. Max Hitchins - The Hospitality Doctor

Room Tip: Talk to Emma or Sinead ((Sinead is a lovely Irish name pronounced Shin-ade)

We stayed 5 nights and had a large sunny room - one bedroom two bathroom (Room 8). The location to the beach and shops was perfect as was the value for money as Hastings Street can be quite expensive.
However, the resort was pretty stingey when it came to the little things - no tissues. Extra toilet paper was a chargeable item as was beach towels and condiments, like salt and pepper in the kitchen. The Wifi was very flakey and of course there was no one available after hours when it went down. The washing machine needed a good clean.

Room Tip: If you want the sun then Room 8

After a tough year we were looking forward to a relaxing break in Noosa. On checking into the room, we were initially delighted with the apartment. It looked to tick all of the boxes. It was a great location in the buzzy heart of Hastings St. The apartment was well appointed, modern, spacious and clean. It seemed just about perfect. But that all changed on the first night. The noise from the restaurant downstairs was manifestly excessive, and made it impossible to get a decent night's sleep. How very, very disappointing...

Staying on the Hastings St side, we knew to expect some noise from the street and the restaurants below. But the live music from the Rococo restaurant below blared every night until close to 11pm. It then switched to recorded music, at slightly lower but still disturbing volume, until around midnight. The staff then made plenty of noise packing up for the night, including dragging and scraping tables. After we finally got to sleep well after midnight, we were rudely awoken at just after 5am by the sounds of the restaurant being prepared for breakfast, including the banging of the fold-back concertina doors, more dragging of furniture, and the hosing of pavement. And this goes on every night of the week. Even on Sunday night the music blasted away until way too late.

We are not unrealistic when it comes to some noise, and nor are we light sleepers or party-poopers. But when the live music is blaring straight up into the apartment like that, accompanied by some of the well-oiled restaurant guests loudly singing along, it felt like our bedroom was in a bad karaoke bar. When we couldn't sleep we got up and tried to watch a movie, but struggled to hear it above the din from below. What a joke!

I've since read numerous reviews on TripAdviser complaining about the music and noise, over several years. I've also seen comments by the resort management saying that they had spoken to the restaurant and met with its staff to reinforce the need to be mindful of the resort guests etc. Well, from our experience that has clearly not made any difference. We also spoke with several other guests we met in the lifts, and they all complained about the same noise issues. So while we were in the front tower (level 2) it wasn't just us being unrealistic or overly fussy. When you can't get a decent nights sleep, it really ruins the entire stay.

The irony of it all was that when we booked, I spoke to a seemingly very friendly staff member on the phone, who told me that she would move us to a room on the Hastings St side to get away from the noise from the pool refurbishment. How very thoughtful. So much for the favour. No wonder there were vacant rooms on that side! The noise issues on the front side of the resort are so bad, it is misleading for the resort not to warn guests of this issue. While the noise issues may be largely outside the control of resort management, they need to warn guests. It is not an insignificant issue, and goes to the heart of the guest experience and satisfaction with the resort.

The bottom line is this: don't stay here if you want more than 5 hours sleep per night. Be warned!!

This resort is in a great location, close to cafes, beach and on Hasting Street. Bus stop within walking distance. You can walk to the National Park. Very clean and even though it is on Hastings Street, the room was very quiet from street noise. We had a spacious, well equipped two bedroom apartment with a seperate shower, not over the bathroom and the resort is equipped with lifts making it an easy stay for elderly people. The only criticism that we had was that you are only allocated a small amount of tea, coffee, toiletries and toilet paper so this needs to be purchased.
