Moderately enjoyable with the following observations:-
1) The octopus entree came out so quick, it may as well have been in a cocktail glass. Not necessarily a problem, except that the dish arrived together with the cocktail drinks we had ordered. It was then a first world problem as to whether we let the octopus go cold, or allow the cocktails to turn tepid.
This didn't seem to register as unusual in the boisterous surroundings, especially as the waiting staff seemed positively Olympian in a need for speed over attentiveness.
2) The Mooloolaba King Prawns! Who could resist such a fine sounding local delicacy?
Unfortunately, the King Prawns served were of thumb nail proportions. Did they run out of King Prawns? Or are Mooloolaba King Prawns representive of an unusual and diminutive mutation?
Despite the speed of service, the noise, and what at times felt like the impersonal rumpus of a stock exchange, the food was as flavoursome and boldly Italian as Mama with a rolling pin.
However, on a price/offering ratio, it would be imprecise to describe 'Locale' as fine dining, much less Tuscany by the sea.
