Firstly, I want to say that I have never written a negative review about anything (“if you cant say something nice…”), but felt compelled to write this review as I am a local and wanted to warn unsuspecting tourists not to have expectations regarding this restaurant! We chose this restaurant while out with friends mainly because of its excellent location on the beach, had never eaten here before, and the menu also looked delicious. However, when the mains came there was disappointment amongst all four of us who dined. One order was missing an item (the reason why it was ordered in the first place), and when an enquiry was made, the manager came to the table and although he apologised, it was in a slightly arrogant tone, stating they had run out of the item and there was nothing they could do about it. After a bit of discussion, it was suggested by one of us dining that perhaps a complimentary wine might help (something a manager should’ve thought of himself!) This ‘change in menu’ was something the waitress (who was brilliant, by the way!) should’ve been informed of prior to bringing the main out. Two of us ordered a ‘Wagu Sirloin Steak’ and expectations got the better of us as we were imagining a thick, tender steak. Instead, our steaks were thin, quite small and surrounded with gristle and sinuet, and at $38, a total rip off! The linguini (also $38!), lacked flavour and looked like a plain bowl of pasta. I’ve had far better down the street at half the price!! Perhaps we hit an ‘off’ night, but if you’re a tourist, stick to the beachfront restaurant next door or some of the other restaurants across the street! …and if you’re a restaurant owner, assume all of your customers are locals, not just a group of tourists out for a ‘one-off’ dine in your restaurant. Then you just might see people coming back!!
