2 km out of town quiet off the main road. Unit 11 has patio in front and bush view in back...lovely. Full kitchen, free wi-fi in units, good reading lights, reverse cycle a/c. Clean, lovely main house and grounds with pond and plenty of parrots that come to be fed. Lovely breakfast with an automatic pancake maker...push a button and out comes the pancakes. We highly recommend this hotel

The lodge was an excellent base to discover the local area. Peaceful surroundings in a bush setting. Lodge style accommodation spread guests out and was conducive to privacy. Well stocked book, DVD and games libraries to use during inclement weather (which we did not have) or during down time. Amenable, welcoming hosts enhanced an already relaxing visit. A fresh, varied and nutritious breakfast was served overlooking the gazebo on the dam or in the tastefully appointed dining room. Add an extra day to your booking to simply enjoy the ambiance of Forest Lodge.

Location - just off the Vasse Highway but secluded from traffic - ideal for travellers planning to join the many eco-tours in Pemberton. The resort has its own small "lake" and beautiful gardens, including an impressive Sequioa (Californian Redwood) tree. The large outside balcony attached to the breakfast room attracts a wide range of birds, including the brilliant green lorikeets, and their smaller red cousins. Absolutely glorious.
Quality of the accommodation - Unit 13 is in a block of four units, bookended on one side by the guest laundry. The room, described as a studio unit, was very well appointed. Its kitchen offers both a microwave and "proper" oven, and is fully equipped with crockery and cutlery.
The resort breakfast is definitely something "to write home about" in terms of range and food quality. It is the only place I've stayed at (either in Australia or overseas) which has a self-serve pancake maker for guests. Brilliant! A range of the scrumptious jams made in the Pemberton area is also offered.
The resort has a well-stocked book library, DVD library and a glorious selection of board games (e.g. Monopoly, Scrablle). Again, this collection is the best I've seen anywhere on my travels, outside of a cruise liner.
My guest from overseas was suitably impressed!

This property is located on a rural site well off the normally quiet Vasse highway, surrounded by its own grounds with gardens, a lake and extensive woodland - when we arrived, there were three kangaroos grazing next to the drive! The property is about 5 mins drive outside the small town of Pemberton. The whole site is quiet and peaceful, with only the occasional pleasant calls of wild birds to disturb the silence.
The resort consists of a central lodge with front desk and large breakfast dining room, which opens out onto a terrace overlooking the garden, lake and woodland. The accommodation units of various sizes are located in a series of separate buildings spread round the site. There is plenty of free off-road parking close to each unit.
We stayed in Room 11, described as a Studio Motel Unit. This room had been superbly refurbished to a very high standard. The unit has a large bedroom area with king bed, single bed, table and two chairs and dressing table. There was an adjoining small kitchen area with fridge, microwave oven and cooker hob. The separate ensuite had a walk-in shower. The unit's decor and furnishings were in neutral colours, modern and tasteful, and everywhere was spotlessly clean. The room was equipped with wall-mounted flat-screen TV, tea/coffee making facilities, toaster and iron/ironing board. There was free WIFI Internet available in room, although we are not sure whether this only applies to the refurbished rooms.
The owners who checked us in and served breakfast were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
Our room rate included a full cooked & continental breakfast, which was of the same high quality as everything else we experienced in this property. From our experience, we would have no hesitation in recommending this property to other travellers.

Room Tip: Owner told us that not every room is yet refurbished to standard of ours - so specify when you book...
