I stayed with my 2 children in the October 2011 school holidays. I made my booking just a couple of weeks out from the holidays and was pleasantly surprised to be able to book a 1 bedroom ensuite cabin.
The resort is the best I have ever stayed at with so many wonderful things for the kids to do. It is very safe and I like the security bands the resort use with the children to ensure there aren't any stray kids playing in the resort. Made me feel very safe about letting them go and play around the park and ride their bikes around safely as well.
Mandalay have definitely set up a wonderful environment for kids and for parents to relax and enjoy as well.
Highly recommend this place for a family holiday.

Great facility which is extremely well run by people who know what the tourism industry is all about. The site is maintained to a very high standard, has good facilities and just enough organised activities to keep the adventure going. My children never want to leave and this tear demanded to know why we can not live there all the time.

We normally stay in Mandalay's Beach Cottages, which are fabulous, but decided to bring the camper trailer this time and get back into some family camping. We booked an ensuite site for our 4 night stay.

We loved that the staff at Mandalay take you to your site and instruct you on reversing into your site. Other caravan parks we have stayed at give you a map and you have to work it out yourself. Check in was easy and the staff are very friendly.

Our site was nice and clean. The ensuite - WOW!!! Nicer than our ensuite at home. There was enough room to store our fishing rods and other bits and pieces. We did accidentally lock the keys in the ensuite overnight on one of our nights there. We popped over to the ablution blocks in the morning before reception opened and they are really nice. They are the best we have seen. They are a credit to Mandalay. The staff were helpfull in the morning, giving us the spare key so we could open our ensuite.

The facilites are great. Bins are spread throughout the park and are within a close distance to each site (not too close to smell them though). We take our own portable BBQ but noticed they are also not too far. The camp kitchen was quite busy, but when you've got so many people camping it's inevitable.

The kids love taking their scooters down to the little shop in reception to buy themselves an ice cream or top up the milk for the fridge. Movie night in the games room is also a highlight.

Our kids get so excited when we say we are going to Mandalay and have a ball. They love playing on the jumping pillow, playing on the playground and riding their scooters around the grounds. They always quickly make friends with other children too.

I would, and do, recommend Mandalay to everyone. My elderly grandparents stay there frequently as does my mum and stepdad, and my sister and her little family. We're booked in again for the April school holidays and can't wait. The kids are aware that we won't be touring the region for this break and they told us 'we don't care, we have more fun at Mandalay anyway'. If we can avoid it, we won't leave Mandalay at all except to go to the beach. We love how Mandalay gives the kids heaps to do, and Mum and Dad can relax. As soon as we can book for the October 2012 holidays, I'll be making the next booking.

We have no issue with the rules, we find they are more common sense and respect than rules anyway.

Thanks Clive and Margaret for yet another enjoyable stay in your beautiful park. I think it's pretty safe to say we'll be back time and time again.

We stayed at the Mandalay in Busselton and it was by far the best place we have stayed so far!!!
With it's 2 heated pools, one indoor the other outdoor, great shading camping sites under the "Peppermint trees" , fully equipped campers kitchen, HUGE games room and giant jumping pillow, the Mandalay was a great family holiday park!
They have just renovated the ablutions so they were amazing with clean showers and toilets and heated floors!!!!!!
We have quite a large camper trailer and we fitted into the camping sites with lots of room left for the kids to play on. The guys at the Mandalay were great, helping us reverse into the camping site and letting us know where everything was.
When we arrived we were told that in the lovely peppermint trees live small possums. At first we didn't believe this but on the morning we were packing up we spotted one walking on the grass! It was very cute and gave everyone something to remember!!
We booked in for 2 nights but ended up staying for more. WARNING.... There is a lovely beach across the road which is great for fishing but.... A local told us that a surfer was taken from the same beach just around the corner!
Although we didn't really need to use the beach as the facilities at the Mandalay were worth the $!!!

Over all the Mandalay was a great park and if in Busselton again will be staying at the Mandalay for sure!!!
