We are regular visitors at this motel and it is a very pleasant place to stay. The new owners are friendly and very welcoming, the rooms are comfortable, spacious and clean. There is a choice of blankets or doonas on the beds. The breakfasts are a good start to the day. It is very close to the train station and not far from the shops and buses.
This year we decided to fulfil a long held ambition to drive from Sydney to Melbourne, stopping off at various locations on the way. Our third stop was at the Coal Valley Motor Inn, Morewell. The rooms are spotlessly clean, comfortable and well appointed with recently refurbished en-suite facilities. The new owners have obviously put in a lot of effort in updating the accommodation and are friendly and very helpful. If you are looking for a stop over on the way to or from Melbourne, I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel.
Can’t thank the owners enough. Totally professional people and extremely friendly. The hotel it’s self was a pleasure to stay in. Clean and tidy rooms, 5 star in my books. If you ever staying in Morwell do yourself a favour and stop here. You won’t be disappointed. Well done :) Will definitely stay there again.
I was in Morwell for the Recent AFL Victoria V/Line Cup that was been layer in the region.
Searching for a place to stay for one night in the middle of the carnival was almost impossible. Coal Valley Motor in had a room available.
walked in and was immediately welcomed in by the owner and shown to room.
Across the road from the train satin and only a short drive to the Freeway to Melbourne or East Gippsland. Good spot. the CBD of Morwell is on other side of railway.
Room was spacious, very clean. It/s a two level establishment. I was fortunate enough to have got a ground floor.

Have stay a couple of times. Very pleasant stay both times. Magnificent big bed, very clean & tidy. Awesome people that go out of there way so that your stay is a pleasant one.
