Right from the time of booking, Karen provided excellent guest services, clear communications, complete with concise directions.
The apartments are spacious, clean and very thoughtfully outfitted - the electric blankets were a toasty inclusion to the super-comfy bed and crisp linens.
Set amongst trees and with views to the ocean, just a short way out of town, the location is perfect.
Highly recommend a stay here. Make sure you walk down to The Swing Bridge cafe for breakfast - it is amazing!!

An excellent B&B. Karen was a very helpful host, with great suggestions for restaurants and bushwalks and waterfalls to visit.

Property is close-ish to town and the beach; we walked one day but drove down the next due to rainy weather. Plenty of parking at the property.

Spa room was well-presented; tea/coffee, ironing board, TV, a very efficient reverse-cycle aircon/heater. Breakfast (continental) was fine and delivered as requested.

Lots of bird life with daily visits from the cockatoos.

Ocean view.

We stumbled across this gorgeous property and stayed for two nights. The spa apartment was everything we could wish for. Beautiful views across the ocean , bed and bedding were first class as was the cleanliness off the apartment . Easy walk into town but away from the noise . Karen the Host made our whole experience worth coming back for . We will definitely be back . Do yourself a favour if staying in Lorne visit Chatby Lane

Pity on our Great Ocean Road journey that we only had one night in Chatby Lane rooms as they were superb - this would be a great spot for a few days. Check in was easy, rooms are very large, bathrooms clean and tidy, great view from our room - could not fault one bit. Thanks for the hospitality.

We stayed as a couple for 2 nights in August 2019 during our drive of the Great Ocean Road.
The premises is a short distance from the town centre and has ocean views.
The male receptionist was very welcoming and hospitable. He showed us to our room with a quick orientation and some suggestions on things to do in Lorne.
The room is spacious, clean and nicely decorated. We stayed in a spa studio room. It was very comfortable and relaxing to stay in.
The queen bed has an electric blanket, which is a god send at that time of the year!
My recommendation is to stay for 2 nights in Lorne if your itinerary allows, as Lorne is a great little spot with plenty to do. The bay is well protected from the ocean swell and the freezing southerly wind.
Our stay at Chatby Lane was very enjoyable and I highly recommend it. I would definitely stay there again.

Room tip: Go for a superior room with proper aircon.
