We booked via Wotif and had no issues there.

Check in was good friendly guys.

Our villa was fine no issues to report. It was simple there was no extra or special consideration / effort.

It would have been nice to walk in to a fire going.

The view is great.

The only disappointing thing was you are expected to wash dry and put away all your dishes and remove any rubbish. Not really the things I want to be thinking about on holiday.

After staying here a number of years ago, we were excited for some winter warming luxury. Unfortunately everything's a bit dated (including the roads to get into the property!) and the love isn't evident anymore. Freezing cold room when we arrived, wood too large for the tiny fire (and no axe, poker etc), aggressive instructions on the wall (you must clean and put away dishes, take out your own rubbish or your credit card will be charged). And so much mud everywhere which made it hard to go and find any kindling. Given how many beautiful establishments are in the area.. we won't be back.

The cabins are spacious, well set out and equipped, wood fire heaters for those cold night. Reverse cycle air conditioners. A wonderful place to stay for your well earned holiday. There is so many places you can visit from here.

We stayed in a one bedroom Villa overlooking the ocean. It had stunning views, a log fire and all the facilities needed for a self catering stay. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The only thing we could say to improve is that the room seemed slightly dated & need of modernising. That being said it was clean.

This is our third time at Beacon Point, and we will continue to stay there, as we love the Mariners Room - it has exceptional views overlooking the bay and across to Apollo Bay, and is a very comfortable room, great kitchen, comfy bed/pillows, large bathroom, lots of space and a great outdoor area/deck where lots of animals come to visit - like the friendly (and sleepy) Koala that sits in the gum tree outside across from the deck there, and the Rosellas, the Kookaburras and the cockatoos! it's a great spot and really relaxing, esp with the fire on, and the sunsets over the bay.
Our only recommendations are:-
1) Would love to have WIFI there
2) Would love to see a lamp in the loungeroom to add evening ambience rather than relying on the strong ceiling lights
3) The shower doesn't have much pressure, and it's pretty tricky to get the 'hot' just right!
4) A bit of a later checkout too - more like 11am would make for a nice touch and a world of difference to a long weekend away! And esp at $290 per night!!!

Other than these little things, (which don't deter us from wanting to return each time), we do love going there and getting some time away from Melb/busy life!

Room Tip: We love the Mariners Room
