This cave system is worth a visit even for those who have seen many other tourist caves as it has a little more to offer due to the world class dig sites. Show cave tours are guided by professional interpreters through interestingly decorated caves. The Wonambi Fossil Centre is worth a visit too.
The low ridges and the limestone these caves are developed in, along with the large number of entrances creates a system different to the caves at Buchan, Jenolan and other east coast tourist caves. We have been here a few times now and always enjoy the visit.
The adjoining café is ok for a quick lunch or coffee!!

The caves are amazing! Me and my fiancé loved it. Would love to come back and see the other caves some time.

Be ready to suit up and have fun with your kids

Caves are well preserved and the progression is safe: the adventure tour is made for youngsters who will have a blast: 6y to 10y is probably sweet spot

Now, this is not spéléology as the tour is made to be plain vanilla despite the guide assertion of being « adventurous «

Enjoy

We visited the Naracoorte caves national park and went on three caves tours. We took a guided tour of the Alexandra cave and then the amazing Victoria fossil cave and walked the Stick tomato cave on our own. Alexandra was a nice intro and very close to the tourist booking centre. The guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. We had scones with jam and cream and a cuppa at the cafe before walking through the Stick tomato cave which was also good. The highlight was the guided tour at the Victoria fossil cave which was an hour long walk through a truely amazing cave. It was a short 5 minute drive from the tourist centre but well worth it. The guide was also terrific and very entertaining. This cave system is a must see.

The kids have never been to any caves so I thought I’d treat them on a trip here. They had a great time exploring & looking around it’s a must see if your down this way.
