The Centabrook is an older style motel but it has been very well maintained and cared for. On arrival, Leanne at reception was very welcoming and friendly. She had phoned earlier in the day to confirm our booking and when we advised we would be arriving early, she made sure our room was ready for us - excellent service.
Our room was basic, but it was spotless, well decorated and the bed was very comfortable. The brick walls between rooms ensured there was no noise to be heard from our neighbours.
The motel is in an excellent location with the RSL next door, fast food, pubs and shops all within easy walking distance. Although it is on the highway, we were not troubled by traffic noise.
Great value for money and excellent, friendly service.

Good bed, bathroom little dated, no washers or hand towels supplied, highway noise noticeable during the night, tight parking area, no shampoo or conditioner supplied. Good location - fast food outlet, servo, pub, RSL & Thai restaurant all very close by.

No one is more fussy about bookings than I am because we have very specific needs, hence I email direct then follow up with phone contact. Having been told, "YES, we DO have rooms with walk in showers" and then finding NO THEY DON'T when we arrived didn't do anything to make us feel welcome. The shower is VERY SMALL and has a barrier which needs to be stepped over and out of - this is completely unsatisfactory for older people with any mobility issues. On returning to reception to query I was told we could look elsewhere if we wanted to. Not particularly easy at 4.45pm - thank goodness we were only staying one night. We were told that I made the booking while the owners were on holiday hence the wrong information.
The room was basic, beds moderately comfortable but noise from the road fairly constant.
Definitely somewhere we wouldn't recommend. No way was it value for money.
