“A dream come true”

Arriving at Iorana was almost like stepping in a fairy tale. The historic cottage is nestled in the lush valley and hides a spacious garden. It is very charming and the extension/renovation works demonstrate thought, intelligence, taste and attention to details. Very spacious, comfortable and welcoming. The kitchen was very well stocked and equipped. I would recommend Iorana to anyone who wishes a peaceful place in the Blue Mountains. Bird life is plentiful and Leura very enjoyable. Our host Sandra was very helpful and friendly. An absolute delight!

“Secluded retreat”

We fell in love with the Iorana Cottage, situated on the quiet side of Leura, the first time we visited back in 2008. The welcoming tree lights and soft music on arrival were a great start, however the toasty warm log fire during a cold spell won our hearts. Whilst there was ample of room inside the cottage for the two of us, we tended to spend the days touring the local scenic lookouts, cafes and gift shops by car, or admiring the quaint locality as we strolled through the surrounding country lanes. Best of all, lazy sunny days were spent doing nothing but reading books under the spreading walnut tree or entertaining visitors by the barbecue. We have just returned from our sixth stay at Iorana and it has been just as special as the first time. Thank you Sandra.

“Charming cottage”

This was our third stay at Iorana and would not bother to look for another holiday rental in the Blue Mountains. The location is perfect, just a 10 -15 minute walk into Leura Mall and all its lovely shops and restaurants, yet it is completely quiet.
The cottage is spacious, beautifully presented and decorated, and spotless. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils should you want to stay in and cook and sit in front of one of the two log fires.

“Just magnificent”

This is our second stay at Iorana one of the Hills Havens cottages in Leura NSW. Leura is the jewel in the crown of the Blue Mountains and a wonderful place to visit, shop, dine and recharge. Iorana is a cottage on the northern side of the Great Western Highway and Railway line and therefore, not in easy walking distance to the shopping centre (but it can be done). It is nestled away in a small, quiet and picturesque valley amid seasonally changing trees and well maintained gardens. The cottage is a two bedroom cottage that has been beautifully restored and furnished with tasteful furnishings that suit the Victorian theme. However, don't be fooled into thinking this is just old world charm - it is. However, you have a state of the art kitchen fully equipped, modern bathroom with under floor heating and a separate second toilet and laundry. Sit at the dining table in front of one of two log fires or snuggle on the lounge and listen to music or watch TV. All the above alone make Iorana a place that we have fallen in love with and enjoy visiting. But this is only the beginning.

Sandra Hill the owner, greets you shortly after arrival to make sure that all your needs are met. There are provisions beautifully presented in a basket in the kitchen, a fridge with all your needs, a bowl of fruit on the table, wine and a welcome note on the coffee table, soft music playing to welcome you and the fires and candles ready to light. All you have to do is enjoy this magnificent home, lovingly prepared for guests. Don't forget to have spa bath too. Sandra presents the cottage impeccably clean and wonderfully maintained.

A drawback (if you call it that) is that there is a very weak mobile/cell phone signal but that is also part of the allure.

This is the highest ranking property we have ever stayed at or reviewed to date and worth a visit or two or three......

“Charming cottage accommodation in the Blue Mountains”

We opened the door to 'Iorana' and said 'wow this is lovely' as the Christmas tree lights were on and soft music was playing giving us a great welcome even though it was raining outside! The overall accommodation was very tasteful. The 2 bedrooms were very comfortable. The bathroom was a good size and the kitchen was well equipped. It was nice to have the use of the barbecue and the log fire added to the cosy ambience.
