We spent 1 night at this iconic hotel and loved the whole experience which included dinner and breakfast. Our room was excellent with king size bed and views in two directions. Very comfortable and also very relaxing. Had afternoon tea on the verandah which was so the relaxing part.

Room Tip: Corner suites are large and sunny.

If you are looking to step back in time and want to appreciate the old with the new them this is the place to stay.
Staff is friendly and helpful

Breakfast is absolutely basic which was a disappointment.
The room is spacious
The cleanliness needs to be improved
Around the bathroom door handles it is very dirty
The spa bath looked as if it has not been cleaned in a very long time
Empty cups have been placed on a table and have not been removed during the 5 days of our stay
There was no sugar with complimentary tea and coffee in the room - luckily we did not need any
The mattress desperately needs replacement

We stayed here for two nights on our visit to the Blue Mountains. This is a gem in the area! If you like a bit of history and some good old fashioned comfort, this is where you'll want to stay. The grand old building is just that! Grand! The town is a short walk away. The art work in the halls is also historically amazing! The staff at the hotel were extremely helpful. So, all in all it is a great place to stay!

Throughly enjoyed our stay in this historic hotel , the dining room was grand and the staff did a exceptional service. Sitting around the lounge room fire place each night having a pre dinner drink before dinner was very relaxing,

We had read some of the reviews on tripadvisor so were a little anxious prior to arrival.
All our fear were put away when we arrived at reception. The lady receptionist was charming and friendly and told us about the room etc.
The lift was an old style lift, but worked Ok. To get the luggage into the room, just follow the disabled access. Very straight forward. There are a couple of steps from the lift to the room, but nothing horrendous.
Room was lovely, with A/C. I had read reports about no A/C.
The hotel was full of character, all the staff were friendly and informative about the hotel.
The days we stayed there was no dinner in the Grand ball room, but the hotel own a bar that serves dinner at the end of the driveway and the food is great.
Wifi was good in all areas I was in.
The hotel is a visitor attraction, with visitors allowed on the ground floor between 11:00 and 21:30. So there are a few people walking around the ground floor. Guests only up stairs.
