The Carrington hotel brings you back a hundred years or so with its old furniture and wood panels. The colors, flowers and decorations are unique. Our room was on the second floor and although the hotel has a lift, there were smaller stairs to handle that can be difficult for disabled and not so strong persons. The breakfast was great and served in a very nice dining room. We also enjoyed the bar area. The hotel is in the middle of Katoomba with easy access to restaurants and shops.

It's a beautiful old fashioned hotel and our room was very comfortable with a large walk in shower, mini-bar, and air conditioning.
I enjoyed the supper and breakfast, and the staff were very polite and helpful

We stayed as a walking group before and after our 3 day trek. Everything about this hotel screams yesteryear. The furnishings, the creaky floor boards and winding staircases, the funky lift (amazingly difficult to open the old doors). However, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast yummy. I recommend a spa room especially after trekking for 3 days. The room was large and spa fabulous. We ended off with drinks in front of the roaring fire on a chilly night. I forget to mention the views - magnificent.

Room Tip: Book the spa room.

Reliable as ever ... and getting better.
Nice people to welcome you after a short walk from the train and to assist you with every query you may have.
Immediate immersion in comfortable, warm history as you walk to heritage elevator or stairs.
Large, clean room with high t.count cotton sheets, big towels, large shower rose and quality fittings.
King size, comfy bed. Pillows could be bigger.
Negative is the absence of a stocked fridge. A welcoming wine is a nice sight at the end of a journey.
Breaky and dining room is nice ... would work on the team just relaxing a little though.
Always a nice stay.

Old world charm, luxury, divine appointments and lots of care in the detail. Our room was large with a view to the cliffs, with all amenities and a great bed. The elevator was a mystery but with only 3 floors the fun of the creaky stairs was to be had by young and old. The dining room was breathtaking in its beauty - large stained and bevelled glass windows and doors, gorgeous painted detail and classic items of history. Our meal was well presented, tasty and just lovely. Thank you to the young staff who were a credit to the hotel. Our special occasion was made more special by holding it at The Carrington Hotel with an inclusive breakfast. We will return

Room Tip: Book early as some rooms only have shared facilities
