Stayed one night here and saw went worth and katoomba falls. The girl Sam behind the desk was very helpful as to the surrounding hikes and eateries. Great place!
Stayed on a one bunk two person room. They have a nice outdoor patio and great free facilities and common room as well.

This was a great hostel to stay in even if it was for only one night. We took advantage of the free laundry services (however u pay $0.50 for the soap if you don't have it) and the free wifi. Pool table was good and staff were very helpful. The dorm room was nice and big so it made you feel like you were with less people. The matresses were very comfy and were real (not the typical slab of foam)! The only negatives to our short stay were that our sheets had a bit of an odor (may have been damp but hard to tell), and the bathroom in our room had no shower curtain so water got all over the toilet seat. As a result, you had to wipe off the seat after other people showered with LOTS of damp toilet paper, which seemed incredibly wasteful.

The place is nice, the free laundry a good thing but the management is horrible. They make many mistakes and claim it is full when them beds are empty.
They should change the staff. For the rest the place is very nice.
Wifi does not work most of the time.

A really great hostel in terms of ammenities. A massive kitchen and common room with lots of things to keep you entertained. Also the rooms are a great size, with large lockers and plenty of room. The staff we saw were really friendly and helpful and we were even able to leave our stuff when we first arrived and prior to check in.

Compared to alot of places I've'e stayed this place offers exactly what you want from a hostel (though it could be a little cheaper - we paid $28/pp for an 8 bed dorm). Those reviews on here that are negative seem to fail to recognise that this is a hostel and as a hostel its really well set up.

HOWEVER the reason I have given it 4* and said I'm not staying again, is it's proximity to the train station. In our room we had a choice: close the window and melt in the heat or keep the window open and be woken every time a frieght train passed through - which is often!! The noise is ridiculous and neither I nor my fiancee got much sleep. It sounds like the train is passing through your room!! Its a real shame because other wise the hostel is great. I just need sleep!

(Also for whoever runs the hostel, please wait to clean bathrooms after the checkout time! My fiancee got a particularly disgusting look from the cleaner for wanting to use the shower at 8:00am!!!)

Room Tip: Try to make sure you're as far from the tracks as possible!
