“Great Hotel, Food and Staff”
Reviewed 16 January 2012

Stayed here at start of January in a week of brilliant sunshine. Throughout the hotel the facilities were excellent including a very cheap to use laundry facility on reception level, ideal for anyone travelling as we were.
The food at the hotel is first class and the prices are the same as anywhere else in the resort.
There is no free wireless access but this can be obtained at Mangrove Jacks in the centre of the town, and it helps the food here is excellent.
The pool are is very clean and the views from here are fantastic.
Would highly recommend this hotel to all types of travellers due to its central location

Room Tip: Make sure you get a sea view room you will not regret it

We stayed in a room to sleep 4 people. Nice room with great ocean views but small.
The coffee making facility and fridge were next to the bathroom.
The bathroom had a grilled door so there was never any privacy for the user.
The previous guest had drunk the white and red wine in our room and had replaced it with water. This had not been picked up by house keeping. Front office staff were notified and were excellent. Thank you Gillian for your helpful and cheerful service.
Many other staff seemed disgruntled. Smiling hasn't killed anyone.

Had high expectation of this hotel, as it's claiming to be a 5 star, photos are great, views are amazing and it is not cheap.
The furniture in the room was really old as the shower block/toilet. What was suppose to be a "garden view" was really "another building wall view" with a walk way in between. Absolutely no sound insulation, couldn't sleep well -someone watching footy in the evening, parting at night and restaurant cart fool of dgiggling dishes passing by plus early loud restaurant stuff talks.
The restaurant was not bad, pool is pretty but old.

Our fabulous ocean front pool is fully serviced with food and beverage service available all day. With the exception of gardenview rooms all rooms have stunning absolute oceanviews and large furnished balconies.

We arrived in Airlie Beach after a days driving and were just looking for a 1 night stay. At Reception, the staff member was dealing with a very disgruntled guest who was extremely rude and who told us not to stay. This was in my mind as I paid our room tariff and accepted our key.
Our room was lovely. Beautiful ocean views as requested, very clean, well equipped and great value for money. Breakfast was included in our rate which was an added bonus.
When we passed reception a little later, the man at the desk apologised profusely for the abuse from the man - he was very apologetic, polite, and throughout the ordeal, remained very professional.
Not everyone is happy with their stay on every occasion, but the way complaints are handled can make a huge difference. Well done to the front desk (english) gentleman. We will be back.

Room Tip: Request an ocean view room - you wont be disappointed.

We booked a sea view room at Coral Sea Resort and it was fantastic – the room had wonderful uninterrupted views. Very clean, nice kitchenette and a great bathroom where you can access the balcony area where there is a spa – nice to relax with a bottle of champers and take in the view.

The balcony also had a table and chairs and a hammock, a nice spot to take in a good book.

We ate at the restaurant both nights as the food was so good.

Definitely going back to this resort.

Room Tip: Book as sea view room
