We stayed at a hotel here in spite of the rain and still made a difference. The restaurants and shops here and watching waves and joggers makes it very scenic here.

This beach is stunning with typical tropical palm trees lining the shore. You can walk for a very long way toward the South.

We went for the day to Palm Cove and experienced a high quality handicrafts market. While we were up and down the market, boutiques and restaurants, we could not get our fourteenyearold out of the lovely waves. Nice, clean beach with some chading from the big palm trees.

The beach is patrolled during daylight hours and has a swimming area with a stinger net so you can swim there. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes along the edplamade, there are also bbq areas for those wanting to cook their own. Once a month they have markets with stslls and food trucks. A great place for a daytrip from cairns or a vacation stay

Very nice, long-stretched, beach with palms in the back. A very cool subtropical beach with the Esplanade with restaurants, bars, shops, hotels just in the back. Because of stinger season between October and May, swimming in the sea is only possible via the separate stinger net. I still avoided swimming there and some Aussies told me that even with stinger nets, they would not recommend doing it...
