We stayed here with our friends for 3 nights. Both rooms are lovely and the beds very comfortable. I had the best sleep in a long time in this quiet little town. Eve made us a delicious,
hot breakfast each morning and the Ocean View from the dining area is superb!
She also gave us a map of the area & showed us several wonderful places to explore that are
off the beaten path. We found this to be a very central location to visit lots of
of interesting spots in the Cowichan Valley. We'll be back next year for sure.
Thanks Eve & Neil for a great stay!

Room Tip: The Seabreeze Room is larger with more amenties but the Garden Room is cozy with a jetted tub.

The owner was very hospitable, however the room's décor , "Seaview room" was dated (1980's). We were disappointed in the bed...while it was a king size, there was no frame to elevate it off the floor, so basically the box spring and mattress was just on the floor which was too low to the ground. The headboard wasn't attached to anything and felt that it would tip over any minute. The bed mattress was very hard, along with the pillows. Our sleep was not comfortable at all. The blind in the bathroom did not work, so we felt exposed through the large bathroom window.

Our breakfast was very good. We would NOT be able to recommend this B & B to others however, unless the owners replaced the bed and updated the room's décor. It doesn't have to cost a lot to do this. For a B & B, the bed comfort should be priority. Unfortunately for this reason, we won't be back.

I spent a night at Crofton by the Sea on a recent Vancouver Island cycling trip and had a lovely stay.

The room was very clean and comfortable and the hostess was fantastic.

We arrived later in the evening to a lovely welcome and a comfortable bed. The town of Crofton was sweet and we popped up the road for a fun meal at the local pub. The karaoke was amazing, I swear people must practice all week for their performances!

We had a lovely sleep in our nice quiet room and woke up to a great home cooked breakfast. We were served a filling and tasty spread of eggs, grilled veg, foraged mushrooms (from her son's wild foraging company) and other yummy things.

I'll definitely be going back on another bike trip. It's a great spot to stop off on a trip to Salt Spring.

We loved this cozy bed & breakfast. Our room was great. Very comfortable with everything we needed. The breakfast was served in their ocean view dining room and was a delicious, gourmet meal, beautifully presented with lots of fresh fruit. The hostess very friendly and helpful and gave us many suggestions for interesting places to visit nearby. We will definitely return!

The hostess was really nice. She was very sociable with us, we enjoyed her company. The place overall, could use some help. The room itself was clean, but the rest of the house was a little bit dirty and unorganized. You have breakfast in their personal dining area in their living quarters, and that area was a bit untidy for what you would expect a B&B to have going on. It was a little awkward because they have sheets hanging up between the dining area, where we ate, and the rest of their living space, and we could hear the hostess' husband coughing behind the curtain. We knew he was there, but the entire hour+ we were there, he never came out and joined in the conversation. I thought that was a bit odd. Breakfast wasn't anhing extravagant. It consisted of scrambled eggs topped with cheddar cheese and a mix of veggies with toast and fruit. I know the woman is trying! Like I said before, she was very hospitable and friendly. She also has a weaving business which she runs out of her home and she sells some really neat items. Overall, if I were traveling on the eastern coast of Vancouver Island by car (as we were traveling via bicycles), I might skip Ceofton and cruise on to Cowachan Bay.
