“What a Great Vacation”
Reviewed 16 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

We have just returned from 7 days at Maya Jardin. Words can not explain what an amazing place this is. Although we have been to Riviera Maya on three other occasions we have always stayed at all inclusive hotels. This was our first venture outside of the hotel area. What a pleasant surprise! We were close to all the main attractions that you have to travel over an hour to get to from the hotel region. We rented a car and drove to numerous attractions during our stay. Members of our group visited Tulum, Dos Ojos cenote, Akumal to swim with the turtles and Dolphin discovery. Probably one of the most exciting additions to our stay was having onsite caretakers. Mauricio and his family were available to cook fabulous meals providing excellent choices each day. He was happy to make us afternoon Margaritas and every evening he provided us with fresh pico and guacamole. Having the added luxury of a single home with a pool right on the beach enabled everyone to do exactly what they wanted. Some of us used the Kayaks that are provided with the house to go to the reef to snorkel while others opted to lounge in the pool. Who could ask for more?? We have all agreed this is definitely a vacation spot to return to.

Liked best: Proximity to attractions and having our meals prepared.
Liked least: We happened to hit a time when the seaweed was excessive. Having said that it did not effect our enjoyment.

“?Fabulous Vacation!”
Reviewed 3 July 2015 for a stay in June 2015

We had a fabulous time. It was better than we all ever even dreamed of. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay; the accommodations were phenomenal!!! We appreciated the design of May Jardin, using the ocean breeze so masterfully throughout the house with fans, louvered windows, doors that opened from the ocean to the house. The air conditioner units in each bedroom allowed us to sleep well at night, but were not needed during the day. The kitchen was great, well stocked and useful, spacious and great. The pool a great addition and was enjoyed most of the day by someone.
Snorkeling was amazing and we went many times, taking the kayaks out to the reef. We enjoyed the beauty and variety of so many fish, the challenges of holding our own in the current. The guys went deep sea fishing. They caught a mahi mahi and a 6' blue marlin, weighing 220#. We enjoyed the mahi mahi, but they returned the marlin to the ocean. Being at Maya Jardin put both awe and a healthy fear in us; we are not the masters, God is....
The sunrises were beautiful, the pool so fun for the grandkids, the fun of being on the deck in so many different places in the home was relaxing, and we enjoyed God's creation! We all left marveling at God's handiwork, His invisible attributes and the loveliness He provides for us.
We discovered an unlabeled unmarked, yet awesome family Fish House. on the south end of Solimon Bay. The food was fabulous! They don't advertise, don't give you menus, but you have quite a dining experience!

“Great place for a family vacation”

We had a family of 12 here for Thanksgiving week, and it was absolutely perfect! 5 bedrooms, plus additional sleeping on the futons in the loft - everyone was comfortable. The living area is big enough for different groups to do what they want, or for everyone to be together. We all used the kayaks and explored the bay. The pool is lovely, and a great private spot to watch the sunrise, although you can do that from every single bedroom and patio!

Stan is a great host, and his local team headed up by Mauricio and Maria are terrific. The location is convenient to all things in and around Tulum, We went snorkeling with sea turtles at Akumal Bay, zip-lining at Selva Maya, visited the ruins at Tulum, snorkeled in the Cenotes, etc. It is a fabulous trip!

The caretaker/manager is an excellent Chef. Please try his cooking. Villa and location is better than advertised and the photographs do not do the place justice.

“Ocean Breeze Tames the Summer Heat”

My extended family spent a week in late June at Maya Jardin. Although it can get hot and humid on the Riviera Maya this time of year, the constant onshore breeze made the house perfectly comfortable all day long, and A/C in each of the bedrooms was perfect for the nights. The gardens surrounding the home are gorgeous, the staff is amazing (ask Mauricio to make bananas flambe and you'll see why), and the home itself was the nicest we've ever stayed in. We enjoyed kayaking and snorkeling in the bay, Biking amongst the ruins at Coba, and more snorkeling amidst the sculpture garden at the end of the road to Akumal.
