One of the few cottages with warm lighting strong enough for reading. Its situation and its big, easy car park makes it a great centre for touring Galloway. It has all the practical things needed - heating, cooking etc - and the upper floor with landing area furnished for sitting looking out to sea is delightful.
Great location with views over the harbour. Such a novelty for us to see the wonderful expanse of water disappear always to return.
Cottage spacious and comfortable. Received a friendly welcome on arrival from Betty and cliff who provided helpful information.
Easy walk to local pub. For more supplies easy half hour drive to Newton Stewart.
Other interesting places not too far distant.
As a coincidence was reading a novel while relaxing in the cottage - The Hanged Man by by Simon Kernick. Newton Stewart featured in the plot with special emphasis on the Sainsburys supermarket. Interesting.
Had an enjoyable week at the Harbourside Cottage.
Perfect location for exploring the Mull of Galloway. The accommodation was sparkly clean when we arrived and is beautifully fitted out with a generous supply of everything needed by guests.
Certainly one of the best standards we have come across and would happily recommend to friends and definitely return in the future.
Comfortable and well equipped cottage in a very nice location. Ideally situated for visiting Dumfries and Galloway - with ample suggestions for visits, nearby or farther afield.
Lovely seating area upstairs, and at the rear of the cottage, extra sun chairs, parasol, and BBQ. Good supply of towels, tea towels and toilet paper, and thoughtful milk, tea and coffee welcome pack.
We would highly recommend this lovely holiday cottage.
The cottage was lovely with everything you could ever want provided,it was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The seats looking out on the harbour were a big hit. We enjoyed walking along the sea shore and up into the gardens of the house on the hill.A wonderful hideaway for a restful holiday.
