“Beautiful, peaceful and views to die for”
Reviewed 11 August 2016 for a stay in June 2016

The loft was everything the online photos promised. Beautifully decorated with stunning views over the sea. Perfect for a romantic weekend away.

“A perfect chill out spot”
Reviewed 4 December 2015 for a stay in November 2015

Great location overlooking the sea. Road was a bit noisy - but worth it for the view. Friendly welcome, and graham kindly lent us his bikes the second day.
Photos representative of flat - very homely, and comfortable. Would happily have stayed longer.
Good to have the option of breakfast included, but for $30 maybe a bit more could have been included, or put the prices down ??
Definitely recommend The Boat Shed for supper - the 'trust the chef' option - expensive, but worth every dollar
Overall very positive

“Great view, friendly, knowledgeable hosts, fabulous guided cycling excursion.”

The sea view from the Loft takes a 180degree panorama from the edge of Tahunanui Beach across the sea to Fifeshire Rock, Haulashore Island, the entrance to the port of Nelson and part of the Boulder bank. There is always something to watch - yachts, small container ships, fishing trawlers, people kitesurfing, paddle boarding and kayaking and even a school of orca's. Jenny's provisioning of home made muesli, locally grown fruit, herbs from her own vege garden and lemonade made from the property's own lemon trees was a delightful surprise upon arrival.
Graham is a dedicated cyclist and was kind enough to lend us a couple of bikes and helmets and take us on a wonderful two hour ride (including a cool drink stop at Jenny's sister's art studio) on a new cycle track all the way along the edge of Tasman Bay. If you are keen, bring your own pedals and he'll fit them to his cycles. We were absolute beginners and not quite spring chickens and loved it!

Liked best: The view, well equipped, great location, friendly knowledgeable hosts
Liked least: Second bedroom - built into a large gable in the roof so not full height except at apex of roof, bed is futon style so great for kids and young people but not so if less mobile.
