Gorgeous day aboars the ‘Milbi’. A relaxing trip to Pelican Banks which was absolutely stunning. Crew were very welcoming and couldn’t do enough - lunch, refreshments, answering questions etc. enjoyed the historical information on the Great Sandy Straits they shared along the way. The cultural experience with Trav was excellent, we absolutely loved this and Something no other tour offers. Very chilled and relaxing experience. Thank you for having us.

My wife and I booked on this trip as it was smaller than the other boats and it was a good decision as this was much more personal.
The owner and Joe were the crew and they were both excellent hosts.
We saw turtles, snorkelled in quite shallow water so kids were comfortable and slightly timid adults, on the way home we saw a Dugong which was fantastic to see such a beautiful less known occupant of the water.
But the highlight was undoubtedly Joe in his full aboriginal outfit. He said he was practising his dance/songs and music so he was ready for his display for Harry & Meghan, which we took a little tongue in cheek. Imagine our surprise when we saw the Daily mail photo with Prince Harry dancing alongside Joe!! Well worth the money.

We did a 4 hr eco tour with Will andJoe. A very worth while tour
Joe was very knowledgeable and at times humorous.
We did snorkelling, as well as a walk (and show) on a small island, very memorable.

The day would have been perfect if the weather permitted:
+ nice, knowledgeable and witty guides
+ lots of insights of Aboriginal culture
+ jokes to brighten up the weather
+ good food and snacks
- no snorkelling as the weather did not allow that
- a bit too much time to wander around the beach and two islands by ourselves
- glassbottom boat is not very useful when the weather sucks

All in all good fun with the guys, learned a lot about the Butchulla people. Hopefully next time the weather will be less cruel for us!

Thank you so much for your review. We do monitor the weather very closely, however localised conditions can alter the weather at any stage. Hervey Bay is generally blessed with beautiful weather all year around it was unfortunate that it turned on your tour. Glad you enjoyed your tour otherwise, hope to see you back in Hervey Bay again one day

Had a great trip yesterday, skipper and Jo were great! Jo kept us totally entertained, brilliant!! Unfortunately due to recent weather it was not as clear as usual and we only had 2 very very brief sightings, the trip was still brilliant and enjoyable! Would love to come back and try another day

3 hr trip in protected bay looking for marine life depending on weather conditions maybe onto reef or landing on woody island . Not worth snorkelling there . Maybe reef would have been better. Joe our aboriginal tour guide was more than excellent with his jokes and music abilities with his didgeridoo!!! Saw a dugong .turtle but could have been better that’s just luck and weather. Fruit biscuits and a nice chicken wrap was provided . 3 hours was long enough but definitely joe made the trip memorable. Thanks mate !

Thank you for taking the time to review our Turtle Discovery Tour. Yes, the reef is weather/tidal dependant. I'm sure at the time of your visit we were experiencing very high tides, this make its very difficult to snorkel/view the reef. Glad you saw some marine life, and enjoyed your lunch. Thank you for your acknowledgement of Joe Joe, he is excellent and we couldn't be any more proud of him. Hope to see you back on the Fraser Coast one day :)
