I was fascinated by the glass blowing and bought a long stemmed vase. Takes a lot to get me to buy anything so thats a recommendation in itself!

really exciting pieces, a world of knowledge and great enthusiasm. New things to admire every time you get there. If you like to spend a little extra on something really special, then take your time and and take something home.

If you only look at one ‘shop’ in Whangarei make sure it’s this one. It’s location is lovely (down in the picturesque Town Basin) and it has, on display/for sale, a fantastic array of art/ceramics/glass/jewellery/sculptures. And watching the glass blowing in action is often an option too. A great place to drool over beautiful things....and maybe even buy one or two!

Would recommend a visit as it displays and offers for sale unique pieces of work not available anywhere else.
Very attractive and interesting pieces and reasonably priced.

Beautiful glasswork to buy in the shop but highlight is being able to actually see the glassblowers at work crafting pieces and see how it's done. I don't think that happens every day but it may do, would only take a phone call to find out.
